I'm getting a PS3. It was free with my phone. However, games here start with an RRP in the $90-100 region. However however, PS3 games are not region encoded, so I'm thinking about getting some games sent over from your side of the Atlantic.

Eighth.

That is huge though. Basically, Famitsu is declaring MGS4 as the BEST PS3 game. It has never given out more than one 40/40 per console. When I am able to afford a PS3, MGS is definitely a series I would like to get into. I doubt it will be easy to find the first three when that time comes though.

Of course there are lots of PS1 games that can save onto the ps3, otherwise they wouldn't have the ability to make a ps1 memory card. However for whatever reason I can't save data without a memory card adaptor. And considering the fact that other people have confirmed it I'm sure I need that adaptor to save.

IGN AU gives MGS 9.5/10. (in comparison the same reviewer gave Bioshock a 9.5/10 and Mass Effect a 9/10)

Presentation 10/10 - Thoughtfully designed menus, detailed information, deep options and the look and feel of a game that knows it's important.

Graphics 10/10 - This game hands a cigarette and blindfold to just about everything that has come before it

Sound 10/10 - Consistently excellent score, voice acting and environmental sound effects. The final mix is utterly absorbing, cleverly implemented and almost as impressive as the visuals

Gameplay 9.5/10 -Evolutionary Metal Gear - and that's a very good thing. There are niggles here and there - it's not perfect - but it's very polished and engrossing.

Lasting Appeal 8.5/10 - Metal Gear Online or not, we came for the single-player game. We got just enough to balance out the cutscenes. There is definite replayability to be had, if you're passionate

I kind of dislike how he disregards MGOnline almost completely. Because I'm sure if there wasn't Metal Gear Online the Lasting Appeal would be 7.5/10 and they would be complaining how there is no Multiplayer
