Just beat it, pretty goddamn epic.

Minor spoiler concerning cut-scene duration(although I'm sure everyone expects this)...

Prepare yourself for a really long cut-scene at the end of the game, you'll know when it's coming. I think it was like an hour long.

Firmware 2.40 Announced

In-game XMB, trophies confirmed.

by Jeff Haynes

June 17, 2008 - Looks like the rumors of in-game XMB support and game trophies were true. In a recent Playstation.Blog post, Eric Lempel, director of PlayStation Network Operations, explained that a new firmware update, v2.36, will be coming soon. This impending release will improve system stability with specific PlayStation titles. However, the big news of his blog post was that the upcoming firmware 2.40 will indeed feature "'XMB access' in-game" as well as trophies and other enhancements. While no release date or other details were mentioned, Lempel stated that official information within this update would be coming shortly.

GAMEPRO Previews Resistance 2

"when we say "big," we're not kidding. Resistance 2 has two separate campaign modes (we played 'em both), 60-player online multiplayer (we played it), and one hell of an 8-player cooperative mode (think Diablo meets Team Fortress 2)."

"There's also something else. Something we can't mention yet. A truly...colossal secret. You'll have to wait for the August issue to get full details, but you'll know it when you see it. Protip: You may want to sit down while reading this issue."

3 times and you didn't get it?

If you want it just play on liquid easy and get no kills/no alerts(I did it on Solid Normal, but you can do it on any difficulty). You get the stealth camo + infinite ammo bandana free. Buy the Tanegashima, it's awesome.

edit, also for a free 100,000 DP every playthrough, enter Drebins codec frequency (i forget what it is) for Otacons password in Act 4(I think).

Nah. hardest possible difficulty everytime.

I did 6 Alerts on Big Boss Extreme as my best, i'm not the type to turn off the system and restart everytime i'm alerted as some people do, too time consuming, rather be playing

Sometimes you just get an urge to start killing people ya know, what better way than to get an alert!

I did one alert/no kills on BBE, but it took nine hours as I was VERY meticulous(third playthrough) and it was quite difficult. I also don't do the restart thing. Took my second playthrough to get no alert/nokill.

Well i'm doing the stealth thing now, on easy to begin with so I can learn the routes and then i'll move onto harder difficulties.

So far, i'm on the outer haven ship thing without an alert..around 450 kills though ..and at ~5 hours. Not bad considering I felt like watching some cut scenes again/left the game on pause at times.

By the end of it all, I hope to get the Big Boss Emblem, still got a ways to go though, you seem to be much closer to attaining that than I am.

Still got to check out MGO as well
