GSP VS NICK DIAZ - SUPERBOWL WEEKEND

Condit agreed to step aside

"Ariel Helwani:GSP said: "he's the most disrespectful human being I've ever met and I'm going to put the worst beating on him."

Dana says GSP "flipped out" after hearing Nick's comment. GSP-Diaz is next.

Dana is being really disrespectful to Condit now. He should be pissed as crap about this one.

CONDIT DID NOT STEP ASIDE FROM TITLE SHOT – Inside MMA Exclusive October 31 2011 9:56 PM ET

HDNET’S “INSIDE MMA”: CONDIT DID NOT STEP ASIDE FROM TITLE SHOT

DALLAS (October 31, 2011) In a special “Inside MMA” – live from the Lemp Brewery in St. Louis, MO - Malki Kawa, the agent for Carlos Condit and president of First Round Management, released this exclusive comment about Condit’s recent situation with UFC:

“We are obviously disappointed in the UFC’s decision to cancel its commitment with Carlos Condit to give another fighter an opportunity at the Welterweight title based on emotional reactions from UFC 137. Contrary to what has been stated, Carlos did not step aside to allow this to happen, and would not just hand over an opportunity for him to achieve his greatest career goal, one that he has earned through his strong performances in the Octagon. No option was given to him.

For the second time in less than two weeks, Carlos has had an opportunity swept out from beneath his feet. He has shown nothing but pure class in his drive to the title, and will continue to do so. Carlos does not need motivation to fight for the title, he already has it.

This situation will only motivate Carlos more. He will move forward and continue to train at the level that has made him the legitimate number one contender for the UFC Welterweight championship, and he is looking forward to the opportunity to earn that title.”

I think I was one of the only people exicted for Condit/GSP, however GSP/Diaz has potential for Fiht of the Yer even though its earlier into 2012. I think that a guy whos kinda gotten screwed a little bit is Jon Fitch.. would really like to see him get a title fight. Cause hes got the tools to do it. Maybe he vs Condit no.1 contender? what do you guys think

Is it just me or are there not many people rooting for Cain?

Everybody I talk to wants JDS to win...but I'm a huge Velasquez fan. The guy has been through a lot and even his parents' stories are motivational.

I've been following his career for awhile and he has done a lot to impress. When I was at the bar watching Lesnar/Velasquez, I was the only guy who stood up to cheer after Cain destroyed Lesnar. Somebody even cried after Lesnar lost.

Dos Santos hasn't been rocked before in a fight.

I think he has the Hands to beat Valasquez, but he might not have the chin or take-down defense.

Yeah I know JDS is a big fan favourite, and is an exciting fighter also.

I would say if anyone is going to beat Velasquez, it would be JDS. I hope Velasquez proves he's champion by defending the title. I don't know though, he's been injured for a long time.
