old_time_hockey
A small request peeps....you may encounter parking spaces with ice and/or snow in them. It is OK to park on said ice or snow and thusly not taking up 2 parking spots.
Wetcoaster
I went outside and it wasn't that cold today...but that could be because I was wearing like 5 layers of clothing, a touque, scarf, mittens, and had a giant cup of Timmy's in my hand Same for me but replace the Timmy's with a hot buttered rum. >you
That's just dry cold though, super wet cold like we've got is a different thing, it goes right through whatever you're wearing. I've felt colder at -15 in Vancouver than I did at -50 in the prairies, wearing the same winter gear. i wish people on the coast would stop pretending they know what winter is like. wet cold does make a difference but it isnt as drastic as everyone makes it out to be. i spent 2 winters in vancouver and never put anymore than jeans, sneakers and a hoody when its -40 or -45 and then 50 or 55 with the wind chill you cant leave the house without 2 pairs of long johns, jeans 3 shirts a hoody and a thick jacket and good winter boots with about 3 pairs of socks. exposed skin can also be frost bitten in under 5 minutes. NightHawkSniper
How about an OMG FREEZING COLD thread. I sure needed one today when I was downtown. I thought I was going to die. I wore a Nucks jersey and a T-shirt, and it was brutal.
