nucksgirl* Posted January 30, 2008 Share Posted January 30, 2008 Here's an update for everyone who has afternoon classes at SFU: CAMPUS UPDATE SFU's Burnaby campus is reopening this afternoon, effective at noon. HOWEVER, because of continuing traffic and road problems in the Lower Mainland, there will be NO CLASSES at Burnaby for the rest of the day. The Vancouver and Surrey campuses are open for classes as usual. The Burnaby childcare centre is closed for the rest of the day. As of 11 a.m. roads to and on the Burnaby campus were mostly clear, although with some slushy spots. Buses are running, but are subject to delays. Anyone planning to go up or down Burnaby Mountain should drive with caution—and good snow tires. The forecast is for rain tonight, and for some more flurries on the mountain. To find out if the Burnaby campus will be fully open in the morning, check this website at 5 a.m. You can check road conditions any time at the SFU Road Conditions page at http://www.sfu.ca/security/sfuroadconditions/.
