Horatio
That's a bit of an odd signing for them the way I see it. That's a team that needs to be stockpiling their minor-league system, since a fairly major rebuild is on the horizon. Why bring in an over-the-hill slugger like that and take away some young kid's playing time?
Raoul Duke
Griffey has denied the signing apparently. He even went as far as texting M's GM Jack Zeiifwfwefmweofwefwfewfd (sp?) and tell them nothing is official. I know he's nowhere near the Griff of old, but this guy was my hero growing up. I would kill to see him back in an M's uniform. I also really think he could help out that young clubhouse.

Raoul Duke
He's pretty much their equivalent of Trevor Linden. Even without the production, M's fans would be happy just to see him in the uni. I went to the last game of the Reds-Mariners series last year (or was it 2 years ago, I can't believe I don't remember), and it was crazy every time he stepped up. It helped that he hit two homers, which of course brought everyone out of their seats. And he was practically sobbing on the post-game radio interviews. I think he still has a special place in his heart for Seattle. However, I wouldn't be disappointed in him if he went to Atlanta either, especially since it's a far better hitter's park and he's got to be trying to bolster his legacy a bit. If I recall, his dissatisfaction with Safeco was one of the reasons he soured on Seattle the first time. That being said, he'd probably play a lot more in Seattle and would get the chance to extend his career as a DH, if he wanted to go that route. Neil
I am interested in becoming a pro baseball player. I have a quick question for those of you who know a bit about the game: What dosage of steroids is considered league standard?

RUPERTKBD
I'm actually halfway through that book right now. Excellent read!! Although, Canseco's a tad of an egomaniac.
Gretzky's Mullet
A tad? Isn't that like saying Mike Ricci is somewhat unattractive?

applebook
The "big name" is A-Roids. Anyway, when this is all said and done, in 20 years, the only GREAT and HoF sluggers who will prove to be clean are - Griffey - Manny - Vlady Pretty much every other Hall of Fame candidate will be linked to roids or exposed as frauds just like A-Fraud. Hulk_Hogan
The Hulkster just can't watch baseball anymore brother, the out of control steroid abuse makes the Hulkster sick. Because let me tell you something Mean Gene, the Hulkster would never associate himself with an industry in which steroids and HGH is used so commonly brother.
