dannyboyz222
I would like to see somthing like Halladay to the Phillies for J. Donald, C. Carrasco, R. Madson and Drabek. The Jays need to rebuild!
DynamicDuo
If the Jays to trade Doc, lets pray they dont, hopefully we can either get a young pitcher with Roy Halladay like skills, or a somewhat skilled pitcher and a few prospect.
Bobby Hoff
Couldn't Ricciardi at least get something for Ryan??
The Alchemist
Yeah that's what I expected out of someone who's named himself after one of the most overrated, underachieving pitchers in Major League Baseball.
HighwayToHell
You think Jason Marquis is underrated. The guy with the career 1.41 WHIP. So you are in no position to tell anyone anything when it comes to baseball.
The Alchemist
You're using Wins as your primary argument on how good a pitcher is. Please stop.

MeatCurtainsMcGee
So lets examine the numbers, shall we? Lind has more RBI than any of the others, and similar HR numbers to the other three power guys. The big difference is that he is anywhere from 40 to 80 points ahead in average. Kinsler does have 16 steals over him, but the extra 56 point in batting average more than offsets this in my book. Figgins has virtually the same average as Lind, and 27 steals, but only one homer and 27 RBI. My personal unscientific method for comparing stats is to add batting average, RBI, HRs and steals to come up with a total score. Using this formula, the scores come up as: Figgins - 362, Inge - 342, Kinsler - 343, Lind - 384 and Pena -
MeatCurtainsMcGee
And exactly what evidence besides the WHIP statistic have you provided to support your belief that Marquis ISN'T good? This may be a fluke season for Marquis....but I'd like to think not.....he did pitch decent with the Cubs, Braves and Cardinals......so I think you ought to cut the guy a little slack. RUPERTKBD
Offence isnt the only part of baseball. When you have a natural infielder playing LF ahead of you (on a fairly consistant basis) when you are a natural outfielder theres an issue. Im not saying hes a bad hitter. I am saying he isnt an All-Star calibre baseball player... yet
Gretzky's Mullet
Jason Marquis is a good hitter... Seriously, look at his stats, they're not bad. I mean he's no Micah Owings (whose OPS this year would rank him between David Wright and Derrek Lee in the NL if he had enough at bats) but still. Horatio
http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sports/b...raves_mets.html Francoeur traded to the Mets. I'm glad he's gone. I just hope he doesn't miraculously find his swing now. Although I doubt it.
Bernie Brewer
I doubt there are (m)any Royals fans on here, but if there are, my sincere condolences. The Royals just traded a good pitching prospect with command issues and another with nice stuff for Yuniesky Betancourt, the no-hit, no-field, no-speed "shortstop" formerly of the Mariners. I'm laughing at Dayton Moore (the Royals' GM) and feeling sad for Royals fans at the same time. That team is utterly screwed until Moore leaves, plus about five years after that. Bernie Brewer
M's trade a bag of chips for Jack Hannahan. Lefty bat with no power but good patience and pitch selection, plus awesome defense. Not a great player, but a good stopgap 3B solution. The past 30-ish hours have been incredibly awesome. These are the kind of moves that don't seem like important/big moves, but can be a big help to teams.
