Bernie Brewer
I don't even know why Halladay is still with the Jays. They will never make it far. They started out good, but like all Toronto teams, they fell to rock bottom.
Gretzky's Mullet
I like O-Dog, but it would be pretty crowded at 2nd with he and Aaron Hill both on the squad. Neither of them strike me as a shortstop, and I'm quite happy with what Scutaro has done there, so I'd have to say that not keeping Hudson (as good as I think he is) was the right move. BTW: I agree that Riccardi has outlived his usefulness in T.O. Word is the team is looking for a CEO to take over from Paul Beeston. Hopefully whoever eventually takes over the post will bring in a new GM.
Temujin
I got my tickets to the Mariners/Jays series July 27-30. First time ever at a major league baseball game. Anyone around here been to Safeco before? It looks freakin awesome, so I'm pretty excited. Hope the Jays can win the series, but I'm just happy to see Halliday pitch. Anyone else crossing the border to check out a game or three?

TKF
I don't want to see Doc go but whatever happens will be fine. He is the only proven and consistent player on the team though. Other guys are on and off or unproven. Jays also need to trade Wells if anyone takes him. Send him packing for conditinal draft pick if some team is willing to take him. Guest Dr. Coctopus
Be sure to check out the pregame street market/party or what ever you want to call it.... And if you get in 2 hours before gametime...run down to the dugout...I got a pic with Halladay 2 years ago :D
Bernie Brewer
Still, I wonder if Doc will actually pitch...that would have decided which game I go to. Looking at their rotation and their schedule, the Jays would send out Romero, Cecil, and Rzepczynski in that series. If they go to a four-man rotation, it would be Rzepczynski, Doc, Cecil. Can anyone who's been watching the Jays tell me what you've heard of their plans/what their rotation is at the moment?

TKF
I doubt anyone would want to take on that type of salary vs production but who knows, maybe they can sucker the yanks come trade deadline

hank4hire
That is what could happen. Mets are brothers of yanks so they might be willing to take Wells. Jays are going to go to 4 man rotation for now.

Bernie Brewer
That's the plans for the next while, a four-man rotation. Which indicates Doc should get a start at Safeco. That being said, I'd really like to see Romero pitch (which probably won't happen)
Bernie Brewer
By the way, you guys know that there is a guy from Victoria in AAA Tacoma right now? Michael Saunders is an OF with good athleticism and power. It says he went to Lambrick Park. He will be up in Seattle in September and should start in LF next year. Just FYI. nazzybertjovo
as much as it pains me to say, doc leaving might be for the best not for the team, but for him...he's been so loyal to this team and still believes in them (for w/e reason) yet management like that idiot JP Ricciardi constantly fail to put together a serious team every off season they need to get rid of guys like rios, who's a complete bum moving doc makes no sense for the jays cause hes easily the best pitcher of the decade

TKF
Marcum won't be back until next month. He is going to go through proper recovery procedure unlike Ryan. Jays brought up Ryan too early from the minors. Marcum won't be back until next month.
