b3.
Yep. Never played for any team for more than one season. That is why that named seems familiar, kept remembering his name in red letters.

trevforever
Rick Porcello & Kevin Youkilis each given 5 games and fines As a Sox fan I hate not having Youks bat in the lineup but he deserved some kind of punishment as I think Youkilis over reacted just a little bit. By John Schlegel / MLB.com 08/12/09 4:04 PM ET The fallout from Tuesday night's fracas at Fenway Park was swift, as both Tigers pitcher Rick Porcello and Red Sox first baseman Kevin Youkilis received five-game suspensions and undisclosed fines from Major League Baseball on Wednesday afternoon. Pocello is appealing the punishment for his involvement in the incident, which spilled onto the field after Porcello hit Youkilis in the upper back with an 89-mph pitch in the second inning Tuesday. Youkilis has dropped his appeal and will begin serving his suspension tonight. MLB also announced that Tigers pitcher Edwin Jackson has been fined for his "aggressive actions" during the incident. According to the MLB release, Porcello's suspension is for "intentionally throwing pitches" at Boston's Victor Martinez and Youkilis, who was suspended for "charging the mound, throwing his helmet at Porcello and inciting the bench-clearing incident." NorthVan Canuck
I can't believe Porcello got suspended for defending himself. Was he supposed to let Youk tackle him?
Citizen Erased
Yeah, the Jays suck. Hopefully they can move Halladay in the off-season and sign somebody who can hit, like Jason Bay.

Gretzky's Mullet
I had no idea Matt Holliday was capable of single-handedly making the Cardinals look like a dangerous playoff opponent. I pity a team having to face Wainwright and Carpenter back to back, but throw in some legitimate lineup protection for Albert Pujols? I don't think the Cubs are catching them. Some key injuries and a whole lot of underachieving will guarantee that. And neither Milwaukee nor Houston has the pitching in my estimation. shiznak
Supposedly the Blue Jays are upping their payroll to 100-120M for next season.

Gretzky's Mullet
Well, 2 at bats, 2 strikeouts. Same old Rios. Interesting factoid: Clint Barmes of the Rockies got a single and a double against the Pirates today. Those were his first two hits since July 21st, a span of 16 games played, that were NOT home runs. During that slump he collected only 4 hits of any kind: all jacks.
