b3.
David Wright got plunked pretty good, he is staying the night at the hospital. He has a concussion. That Dodger game was horrid, just because of the Dodger's pitcher getting smoked in the head with the ball. He fell down fast, Torre was pretty emotional about it. I hope the pitcher is okay, I don't remember his name so that's why I'm referring to him as the pitcher.
hank4hire
Could be just posturing or other BS, but Nat's prez says that there is a real chance Strasburg may not sign.

c0medyClub
Why couldn't the Jays hit a grand slam, or at least score a single run with bases loaded and 0 out. The Rays did, with 2 outs even. Mannnnnnn, If the Canucks were this mediocre, I would be going bald real quick.
Nevlach
Finally the Mariners beat the Yankees. 10-3...why couldn't they have hit like that the last 3 games?
b3.
Matt Cain is the name you're looking for. Wright was released from hospital today with concussion like symptoms What about the Dodger pitcher? He was Asian.

Raoul Duke
Nice win by the M's today. Glad they got Fister his first. This guy looks solid so far.
midastouch84
We should've resigned him He's still a great catcher with some pop left in his bat
Bernie Brewer
I guess they(nats) feel that the record breaking contract is fair but it would be small disaster to lose an asset like Strasburg. Can't they trade his rights for prospects instead of just losing him for nothing?

hank4hire
And that is why Branden League shouldn't be the closer for the Jays.
Gretzky's Mullet
Yeah, I don't think Fister has the stuff to be successful long-term, but he is a perfectly good option. See, Bavasi: this is how you get back-of-the-rotation pitchers; not with $8MM+(Weaver, Ramirez, Batista, Silva, Washburn) but for $400K so you can spend money on re-signing Felix. Bernie Brewer
Was at the game yesterday, and thought Fister looked solid, if not jawdroppingly spectacular. I'm amazed how hard this is for some GM's to understand: if you're going to have mediocre to decent pitchers filling out your rotation, why not pay them very little. Fister is the type of guy that could have a very decent MLB career as a lunchpail 4th starter type of guy in my opinion, so why not keep him for cheap on the Mariners and spend your free agent money elsewhere. That Silva contract is an unmitigated disaster, considering that I could've told Bavasi he probably has better pitchers in the minors making 6 figures or less. My opinion is, you're offered enough money that you'll never ever have to worry about it in your life, and more than any other player has ever gotten. Take it, focus on improving your baseball (which is far more likely as a team's prized prospect than mowing down overmatched college hitters), and earn the rest of your millions later as a major league pitcher chasing after World Series titles and Cy Young awards. It seems so logical, and he should be able to see that Scott Boras is trying pretty hard to increase his 5% cut and not giving him the best possible advice. There's no benefit whatsoever of sitting out, especially if that Harper guy enters the draft next year, which could potentially push Strassburg back a spot. Bernie Brewer
No long-term?? Hmm. Either way, it is nice to see Jack Z not going the BB route. I hated every single one of those singings you mentioned. Silva was probably the worst of all.
