Gretzky's Mullet
Yep. My favorite part of this is that Johjima homered. Last year, Wash was saying that working with Kenji was the reason why he was pitching like sht.
Bernie Brewer
Funny I was under the impression that Johjima actually managed the pitchers pretty well. EDIT: Incidentally, nice work Aardsma.
b3.
The Blue Jays are getting spanked by the Red Sox again. Do you think Bay will play for the Red Sox next year?
PowerIce
Heh, I'm glad I wasn't watching todays Jays game. Cito is 10-times better than Gibbons was. Why do you think Lind/Romero/Ryperouwada are doing so well this season? As long as JP is the GM, this team will never win, no matter whose the coach. Heck, not even Joe Torre can make this team a winning team.

Gretzky's Mullet
Heh, I'm glad I wasn't watching todays Jays game. I know he is much better, I noticed that last season. But after a couple months (this season) we have dropped into the same routine. Hill and Lind have improved yes... but I don't think Cito has much to do with it tbh. In return for their improvements Wells has lost his swing and so has Rios (gone now). I agree though, we need to get rid of JP.
Barney Stinson
Sox and Yanks today, should be interesting.
Raoul Duke
Go Yanks. As much as I hate saying it. Great job once again by the M's "solid" bullpen. I'm beginning to stop caring actually. Every friggin year I tell yah. Hey, at least the Dodgers won. And wawaweewah Martin hit a salami??? Home run #4 this year!! Ha ha! And could someone tell the Rockies and Giants to frack off already? Raoul Duke
If you're going to root for the Dodgers , watch out for the Rockies. Their pitching staff is top-5 in the majors, and they have a solid group of hitters (most of whom can somewhat hit away from Coors) who can also field. Beware. Gretzky's Mullet
How are you guys feeling about Ian Snell so far? I confess I haven't gotten to watch any of his starts, but I've noticed that he's had two brutal ones, one excellent one (his most recent), and one very decent one (his first Mariners start). Does he look like a keeper? After Felix, the Mariners rotation is in shambles at the major league level going forward (Washburn traded, Bedard probably having played his last game as a Mariner, Silva garbage, RRS only a borderline major league player, and Fister and French too early to tell), so Snell's job is definitely his to lose. I don't know intimately but is there much help coming from the minors? I feel like some of the Mariners prospects have been traded away recently (Bedard trade). Any gems I don't know about? RUPERTKBD
Ryan Rowland-Smith. That is all. Snell has looked pretty good actually, other than getting smoked by the Skanks. Good win against the Tigers a couple days ago. There may also be some hope with Luke French...... god damn.

Gretzky's Mullet
Yeah, I wondered about that when GM called him a border-line player. I was wondering if he was just another one of those formerly unknown guys that the Jays managed to make look like the second coming of Cy Young. Gretzky's Mullet
Anybody besides me think maybe Brandon Morrow wasn't the guy to take at 5th in 2006. I think the Mariners pitching woes would be far less had they taken the guy San Francisco took 5 spots later, a local talent no less.
Bernie Brewer
I have actually seen him pitch live before. From my viewpoint he's a serviceable player, but not somebody I'd necessarily miss. You guys really think he's that good eh?
Gretzky's Mullet
I hate it when people play draft retrospective. Sorry, just do. Yes, Timmy would have been the better choice, at the time and now, but it doesn't matter, they have Morrow and we'll have to deal with that. Morrow's a good pitcher, and will have good value if he can stick as a starter.
