Gretzky's Mullet
JP Ricciardi said this about Adam Dunn on a radio show: "Maybe we have more information and know the player a little more than the average fan." "He's a lifetime .230-.240 hitter that strikes out a ton and hits home runs. Did you know the guy doesn't really like baseball that much? Did you know the guy doesn't have a passion to play the game that much? I don't think you'd be very happy if we brought Adam Dunn here...We've done our homework on guys like Adam Dunn and there's a reason why we don't want Adam Dunn." http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/p...radio-show.aspx Dunn responded with: I don’t know the clown. I don’t know, and you can use the word ‘clown’ if you like. I’ve seen it, I haven’t heard it. I really don’t care what one guy thinks, to be honest with you. If I’m a G.M., I don’t know that I’d go out of my way to discredit a player -- if I’m a player. He’s obviously won more than me, I guess. Or hasn’t. I know nothing about him. http://www.thelotd.com/ctrent/blog/2008/06..._know_the_clown Riccardi is an idiot, firstly because he he wouldn't be happy if his team acquired Adam Dunn and secondly because for some unknown reason he decided to come out and trash a player for no reason. The Alchemist
He has this obsession with calling out players for no good reason, which is pretty funny considering how pathetic of a general manager he is.
Gretzky's Mullet
Didn't he call out Vernon Wells last year as well?
Pavano's Elbow
The AL East will be a combined 37 games over .500 if the Rays hold on to sweep the Cubs. The Royals also swept the Cardinals and the AL won 8 of 11 Interleague games today if the Indians hold on against the Rockies.

Horatio
http://tsn.ca/mlb/story/?id=241226&lid...s=topStory_main Blue Jays fired John Gibbons, Marty Pevey, Ernie Whitt and Gary Denbo. Cito Gaston will be the manager for the rest of the year. It's about time, now they just need to fire JP.

The Alchemist
Derek Jeter was voted the most overrated player in baseball in a Sports Illustrated poll of over 495 major leaguers http://www.nypost.com/seven/06202008/sport...ated_116306.htm I'd have to agree. Gretzky's Mullet
Not willing to stop after insulting a player from another team for no reason, JP decides to slam a classic Blue Jay after unceremoniously canning him: Sportsnet.ca spoke to Ricciardi Sunday morning, and he said "People have forgotten the fact that I put Ernie in the big leagues. He got a big league job because of me. I'm the one who pushed him to be on this staff. I don't know what his comments were I just know that Ernie was a big league coach because of me"
Gretzky's Mullet
So yeah, uh, Felix Hernandez (yes, the Mariners' starting pitcher) hit a Grand Slam today in interleague play. For all the Mariners' troubles, it's been pretty hard to say anything bad about that kid. EDIT: oh yeah, it was off Johan Santana.

Raoul Duke
Cido??? Nice work by Felix. But then he leaves the game early. He better be okay. I remember at the start of the season the Felix/Bedard combo being a crazy good 1-2 punch. So much for that eh? And I'm trying to remember who the big Yankee fan is on here. Is it SportCrazy??? Anyways, I have two pairs of tickets for sale (face value) for the M's/Yanks series Sep5-6 weekend. I have something I have to do now that I can't get out of, so I have to sell them. Anyone interested?? They're really good lower right field bleacher seats. PM if ya want!
