The Alchemist
Twins over Rays? I don't see that happening. I think Roy Halladay will win the Cy Young in the AL. Hamilton will probably win the MVP with his feel good story and all the RBI he will have, probably won't deserve it though. I don't see the Cubs winning 100+. I think Adam Dunn will hit 50 homers. Other than that I'd agree with pretty much everything you said. Hopefully you are wrong about Harden.
The Alchemist
Actually I jut remembered about Francisco Liriano, if he comes back I could see the Twins taking the WC over the Rays. He is tearing it up in the minors so far. And on that note. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/8352458?MSNHPHMA

The Alchemist
Blanton traded to the Phillies. http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform...aspx?id=4165737 To me, this reeks of making a move for the sake of making a move. Blanton sucks away from Oakland. They gave away a borderline top 25 prospect in Cardenas and the number 4 guy in their system in Outman, all for a pretty crappy pitcher. The Cubs actually gave away less to get Harden.
Gretzky's Mullet
How about them Metropolitans! Booyah 10 game winning streak, tied for the top in the NL East. I'm kind of shocked at how lousy Blanton has been this season, considering the respectable numbers he put up last year. Probably a good move by the A's, and I expect Blanton's HR against to go way up at Citizen's Bank Park. I'm going to a game in Oakland in August, and have to just pray that I get to see Duchsherer, considering the otherwise complete lack of compelling starting pitching matchups for them. To their credit, Oakland is 7 games above .500, so they're doing something right. Still, they should never have traded Harden. Cheap, effective, good...how exactly does that not fit into the Moneyball philosophy?
Jermain
Anyone else going to the BoSox series against the M's? I'm stoked, especially if the probable pitchers thing is correct... I'm gonna see Lester and Matsuzaka pitch!!

Captain Bob
I have a question about an inprobable situation... Let's say someone is on first base, and there is one out. The ball is hit into the outfield, and caught. The player who caught the ball thinks that that is the 3rd out of the inning, and throws the ball to a fan. What's the call in the play? Is the player still out? Do they call it a ground rule double? How far can the player who was on first advance?
Raoul Duke
My hatred for "Manny being Manny" grew so much greater after seeing that joke of a play tonight. I wanna smash his face in. And how bout them Angels??? Wow. On top of the league right now. Would love to see them go on another run. And even the Dodgers (despite being 2 under .500) have finally caught the D'Backs for first!! At least my two other teams have a legit shot at the playoffs!! Damn Mariners..... Gaborik_Fan#1
I'm amazed by the lack of homeruns being hit. Seems like most teams only have a few players with 10 or more! haha the Jays wish they could have ONE And then there's Luke Scott...
Raoul Duke
Man, your sig Dwight.....quite the improvement from your last. Heath was sick! Gotta say, I'm heavy on the Angels this year. The Alchemist
I am very worried about the Brewers, I have been since the beginning of the year. This division race is far from over.
Raoul Duke
I can't believe I agree with you, the Angels are so fun to watch, great pitching and they do a lot of stealing and bunting, they use more strategy then any other team in baseball. Plus I was just down there and went to two Angels games and I love the park and they have really nice fans, unlike the Dodgers. I purchased a Vlad jersey. Carlos must be kind of worried about the Brewers, they're looking scary.
Gaborik_Fan#1
Dammit Vlad, he better hit a homerun next inning to make up for that awful drop. Put the f****** shades down!
