nitronuts
Kinda sucks that they went with half length trains. What were they thinking? The popultaion is judt going to increase more and more. They barely built those to suport the current popultaion. There's also less track switches and absolutely zero train storage tracks (like the one at Metrotown)....meaning if a train breaks down, vast sections of the system will come to a hault - very much unlike SkyTrain. WTF..... Did they find plans from 1940 in a vault somewhere and go with them?

That's quite dense. You didn't notice a new station entrance on the northeast corner of 49th and Cambie?
Buggernut
If they did, there'd be a bomb shelter somewhere. That's why most of it is in a tunnel.
nitronuts
Not much of a bomb shelter when the tunnel is 3-6 feet below ground level.....at least on most of Cambie.
Common sense
Not much of a bomb shelter when the tunnel is 3-6 feet below ground level.....at least on most of Cambie. That's okay. the only thing that's going to bomb is the amount of people stuck on the platforms when trains of crowded passengers are passing stations. nitronuts
Typical Canadian workmanship. LOL....depends on how you look at it. Shallow platforms mean relatively short corridors/walks to the station platform. But then the same shallow tunnels are why the platforms are so short.
