Burrows is ,to me,what a hockeyplayer is all about.

Plays and toils for years in the minors.

After years of hard work makes it to the pros.

Elevates his game and work ethic high enough to play with two of the very best players in the world on a consistent basis.

Takes less money to play on the team and for the team.

This is what I think of when I think of a Canadian -CANUCK-hickey player.

Scores near 40 goals ,makes $2 million bucks while the prima donna's are being managed by agents to dig into the payroll.

Grit,determination,heart,work ethic.

Alex BURROWS.

I, the mighty emperor of grain, have composed a poem to commemorate the return of our favorite Canadian Ball Hockey Hall of Fame inductee.

A Relaxed Burr Owns.

A Waxed Burr Enrols.

Absurd? Relax, Owner.

Unbar Law's Ex Order!

Reward Alex or Snub

A Relaxer's Rubdown.

Waxed Laborers Run.

Relax, Brews A'round.

Barren Sexual Word.

"Urbane Warlord Sex!"

Alex Burrows - A Nerd?

Burn Resold Earwax.

The first stanza represents Burr's recovery. The opening line, in particular, reflects on Burr's effectiveness when he focuses solely on his game and how the team misses his presence. The second stanza represents AV's strict policy of reward and punishment. In this case, he'll either put Burr on the first line or deny him massage therapy (AV, you suck). The third represents fans using the game as a way to escape their daily troubles. The final stanza showcases Burrows' pesky on-ice antics once he returns to the ice. All others can do is try to ignore him. In essence, this poem is about tomorrow evening.

Yes. There you have it. Roses are red, violets are blue. Burrows is good. He will score one goal this week.

I have moved this masterpiece here, where it belongs....as it's far too good to slide off the page unnoticed and needs an official "home".

I'll bet good money that if we take the cup with Burrows, we'll eventually see a Rudy-style movie made about him. His life has all the classic elements.

Humble beginnings, hard work, determiniation, not drafted, then on the eve of his rise, his best friend is killed in a horribly tragic accident. I can already feel tears welling up as I watch the scene where he scores and points up the the LB.

Alex Burrows will soon start lighting it up like he did last year.

It is only 7 games in to his season and even though he only has a couple of points, there are some very encouraging signs.First his shot totals and chances are trending upward, even though AV is only playing him around 15min total ice time. Some people dont realize that he gets NO power play time, and right now our team is scoring most of its goals on the powerplay. I just think that Burr is too good of a player to stay quiet for long. I am sure he w ill get back to his old level, but it may take more time than some people think it should. This is because of the Very serious nature of the injury he suffered at the end of last season. If you look at the examples of other players who have had the same type of surgery, almost all take time to get back to there former level.

Anyway I am a huge fan of Burr and I can't wait to see him continue to become a better hockey player(not that he isn't a very good one allready).
