-DLC-
So my daughter was in San Fran for a few months visiting friends a few years ago. They went out one night...to the Fillmore. Got cheap tickets to a show, something like ten bucks each. The SF people didn't know/tell her who the band was. They got there and........it was the Hip. My daughter was blown away and called me (she knew this was my band)...held the phone up while they played this. I still have that voicemail. 1 1 Link to comment
UnkNuk
On this day in rock history: August 14, 1965: Sonny & Cher started a three week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with 'I Got You Babe'. Sonny Bono is said to have been inspired to write the song to capitalize on the popularity of the term "babe," as heard in Bob Dylan'ss 'It Ain't Me Babe'. https://www.thisdayinmusic.com/ 2 2 Link to comment

brilac
Radiohead - The Bends. It's a really good album. I used to listen to it in 1997ish and later. The album came out before 1997. I call this video "the shopping cart video". 2 1 1 Link to comment
