alfstonker
Keep coming back to the legend that was Stuart Adamson. No one "worked" a lead guitar like Stuart RIP. Not a clue what the lead singer is saying but who cares it sounds good. Into the valleyBetrothed and divineRealisations no virtueBut who can define Why soldiers go marchingThose masses a lineThis disease is catchingFrom victory to stone Ahoy! Ahoy! Land, sea and skyAhoy! alfstonker
All the rain came downOn a cold new townAs he carried you awayFrom your father's handThat always seemed like a fistReaching out to make you payHe came like a hero from the factory floorWith the sun and moon as giftsBut the only son you ever sawWere the two he left you withOh Lord where did the feeling goOh Lord I never felt so lowNow the skirts hang so heavy around your headThat you never knew you were youngBecause you played chance with a lifetime's romanceAnd the price was far too longOh Lord where did the feeling goOh Lord… 2 Link to comment
Canuck Surfer
Is there such a thing as an ''under the radar'' Kinks tune? British invasion, though pretty sure Superman is 70's, 60's Glam rock, Blues Rock is my favorite era. Here are a couple more fave's. Always turn my crank! Bananarama? Are you kidding me... This was the original, Shocking Blue, not Cher, from the Netherlands and its worth a listen. Let me know what you think! RIP Marc Bolan, God! I saw another idol of mine, Robert Palmer & Power Station do a killer cover of this song live at the Dome in Minneapolis in the 80's. Iconic Small Faces song. I grew up thinking Kenny Shields wrote this? >>> I got the love! And I belong to you! Do anything that you want me to... Speaking of God? Take your pick, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck or Jimmy Page; all played in this band! 1 1 Link to comment
