Keep coming back to the legend that was Stuart Adamson. No one "worked" a lead guitar like Stuart RIP. Not a clue what the lead singer is saying but who cares it sounds good.

Into the valley
Betrothed and divine
Realisations no virtue
But who can define
Why soldiers go marching
Those masses a line
This disease is catching
From victory to stone
Ahoy! Ahoy! Land, sea and sky
Ahoy! Ahoy! Boy, man and soldier
Ahoy! Ahoy! Deceived and then punctured
Ahoy! Ahoy! Long may they die
Out of concealment
Blank and stark eyed
Why so uncertain
This culture deceives
Prophesised, brainwashed
Tomorrow's demise
All systems failing
The placards unroll
Ahoy! Ahoy!

Real working class boys. They came from a mining area in Fife Scotland

Charles got a job in a factory
Drilling sheet metal from six till three
Worked extra hours for a better wage
Got lost in his task quite needlessly
I noticed his brain was a plastic box
His work rate improved 'cause he couldn't stop
He couldn't eat lunch with those metal hands
His legs were supports for new inner glands
Next when I saw him his face was gone
A stainless steel spine now instead of bone
His arms became grafted onto the switch
Six months

All the rain came down
On a cold new town
As he carried you away
From your father's hand
That always seemed like a fist
Reaching out to make you pay
He came like a hero from the factory floor
With the sun and moon as gifts
But the only son you ever saw
Were the two he left you with
Oh Lord where did the feeling go
Oh Lord I never felt so low
Now the skirts hang so heavy around your head
That you never knew you were young
Because you played chance with a lifetime's romance
And the price was far too long
Oh Lord where did the feeling go
Oh Lord

Is there such a thing as an ''under the radar'' Kinks tune?

British invasion, though pretty sure Superman is 70's, 60's Glam rock, Blues Rock is my favorite era. Here are a couple more fave's.

Always turn my crank!

Bananarama? Are you kidding me... This was the original, Shocking Blue, not Cher, from the Netherlands and its worth a listen. Let me know what you think!

RIP Marc Bolan, God!             I saw another idol of mine, Robert Palmer & Power Station do a killer cover of this song live at the Dome in Minneapolis in the 80's.

Iconic Small Faces song. I grew up thinking Kenny Shields wrote this?    >>> I got the love! And I belong to you! Do anything that you want me to...

Speaking of God? Take your pick, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck or Jimmy Page; all played in this band!
