@Ilunga Do you know about these guys? Apparently they're from Melbourne.

This is really friggin' good. Sounds like a mixture of Tool, old Sabbath, with some psychedelia mixed in.

Their videos on YouTube have like 7k views each. They should have 7 million. :metal:

Yes I saw them at the Whole Lotta Love Bar with my friends Band Steakfaced.

They are really good.

If you like them check out these guys, four albums, each one better than the next and they are all fantastic

On a very sad note NOFX are calling it quits after 40 years.

Music has been a huge part of my life ever since I can remember.

When I was 11 my folks took to me England, dad was a pom.

I clearly remember seeing the punks on the streets of London.

I knew the music was about social and political issues.

 A big F U to society.

From that moment on I have been a punk.

Mike Burkett is more than a punk, he is a poet.

When " El Hefe" joined the band they finally became a true " musical" band.

I could pull any song of any one of their records, I can't think of many bad tracks.

These 2 symbolise NOFX for me

Paraphrasing the last couple of lines

Cause it's our job to keep punk rock elite

Our music ain't your ##$$### industry

My friend Ian McKenzie, a big tall red haired Canadian would wake me most mornings with this song one season in the interior of BC

The lyrics say it all

This day in rock history:

September 5, 2016: An asteroid was named after Freddie Mercury to mark what would have been the singer's 70th birthday. The Queen frontman has had his name attached to Asteroid 17473, which was discovered in 1991 - the year he died. Queen guitarist Brian May told a gathering of 1,250 fans at Montreux Casino in Switzerland that the asteroid would now be known as Asteroid 17473 Freddiemercury.

I remember my Dad liking his stuff...

Your dad and a lot of other people apparently, since "Tie a Yellow Ribbon..." was the number one song of 1973.

Which makes me wonder:  What were your dad and all those other people thinking??!!

Don't get me wrong.  They're both nice songs in their own way.  But I expect more in the number one song of the year.  And. so far, I've noticed a general drop-off in the quality of the number one songs in the seventies compared to the sixties.  Hopefully they'll improve as we move along.

Or maybe it's just a case that our favourite music is the music we grew up with as teenagers?
