Сергей Макаров
Svetlana Kuznetsova lost today ( in her 24 birthday) against a girl named Lisicki. But with Dementieva , Safina and the great belarusian Azarenka alive, I still think that wimbledon will be ours.

Сергей Макаров
Davydenko keeps losing in early rounds, I remember when he was ranked 5th and now he's slipped to 13th... and dropping It's sad, but the truth is we don't have a competitive male player. Tennis is very popular in Russia but our guys always choose to play football( soccer) and hockey over it. Our ladies, on the other hand, (perhaps due the Kournikova effect in the late 90's) dream about becoming a tennis star. In the late 70's and in the 80's, the girls wanted to be olympic gymnasts, but, as Dylan would say, things have changed.

Last year, everybody was talking about the Serbian women but the russian talent have surpassed them, both in number of top players and level of play. luineul
I actually woke up this morning at 5 thinking that there was tennis on. Damn trippy schedule! Ugh... I hope they show some of Verdasco's match.

hank4hire
Mother nature is no match for centre court! They are currently closing the new retractable roof to avoid a rain delay, something that's plagued tournaments in the past. Also Roger Federer breezes by Soderling Edited June 29, 2009 by hank4hire
Сергей Макаров
Pufff, my never almost killed me watching the game between Safina and Mauresmo. Fortunately, Dinara could win. It was a great game.
hank4hire
Looks like Safina is headed towards a clash with Venus williams in the semi's
luineul
Dang, Verdasco lost to Karlovic... That man must not be fun to play against. Murray struggling against Wawrinka right now, they just finished the 1st set and Wawrinka won that on 6-2! Roddick/Berdych still even, but Roddick has had the better play. Tie break might be coming up.

Сергей Макаров
And Hewitt continues with his resurrection. Today, he defeated Stepanek in 5 sets after losing the two first. Another former number one, Ferrero, also is playing a great tournament. Tomorrow will be played Ladies' Quaterfinals matches: Dinara Safina (1) vs Sabine Lisicki Viktoria Azarenka (8) vs Serena Williams (2) Venus Williams (3) vs Agnieszka Radwanska (11) Francesca Schiavone vs Elena Dementieva (4)
