Shapo is in the Wimbledon semis! He came back from down 2 sets to 1 to beat Russian Karen Khachanov in 5. This sets up a showdown with Novak Djokovic on Friday.

Meanwhile, Felix is tied at a set apiece with Matteo Berrettini of Italy in his quarterfinal match.

Tough the way Shapo lost the first set but gave Djokovic a great battle the whole way through.

Saw his emotion walking off the court but he'll be back

Not being able to serve out the first set was gutting and then failing to capitalize on early break points in sets 2 and 3 was a sign of where the match was going to go

Ash is one the most humble down to earth people you will meet.

At Roland Garros she practiced with Naomi Osaka which is very rare,2 players at their level practicing together.

Below is an article about her tribute to one of our first nations sport champions back when there were hardly any.

Go Ash

History is made...

Djokovic has tied Federer and Nadal at 20 Grand Slams, and his time as number 1 just keeps on ticking ahead of everyone.

Joker will win the US Open to make it 21.  He’s clearly the GOAT.  “Best there is; best there was; and best there ever will be.”

That was so cute, Djokovic gave a little girl one of his rackets. That is awesome!

Rocket Rod Laver spent 7 years ranked as the number 1 player in the world.

He also still holds the record for career titles at 200.

And he has also won THE grandslam twice.

Not to discredit Laver, but a lot of that was done before the Open Era when only amateurs were allowed to enter certain tournaments.

Not only that, he also has a wine named for him:

I will always admire rocket Rod and Roger and Rafa more than Novak.

There's a reason people cheer more for his opponent's.

With apologies to our mate  @Ilunga

…another good fighting wine…

Comedy gold! Thanks for reminding me, I’m going to dust off this album and listen again.

  • 1 month later...

Leylah hasn't been getting the same amount of attention as Felix, Denis, and Bianca, so it's great to see her have a signature moment of her own.

This is Canada's golden generation of tennis players, each of them 22 and under as well. Many great years ahead for all of them.
