Wristcutters: A love story - 9/10

This has to be the most perfect movie I have watched in a long, long time. Everything about it was great. The characters were really good and, despite it being a love story, until the end it does not feel like a love story. By the way it starts, you could not believe the way it progressed and finally ended. The character of Eugene is perfectly played and, after a while, you get used to the accent. Tom Waits is always great in his role choices. The only thing I didn't like about it was the way they used Will Arnett. I think being in Arrested Development, it has skewed my view of what roles he can do. This role wasn't a comedy role so I kind of lost interest in his character.

I absolutely love the soundtrack. From the opening scene's use of Lovely and Dead by Tom Waits to the bar scenes playing Deathwish(By Christian Deathwish) and Love will tear us apart(Joy division) to Eugene and Zia driving around listening to Eugene's band(Which is actually Gogol Bordello). I just watched and really want to watch it again.

The Runaways - 7.5/10

I was worried that I wouldn't be able to handle Kristen Stewart in a rocker-chick role but while watching I didn't feel like punching her in the face through the TV, so I guess she did her job adequately. Dakota Fanning was pretty decent.

Shutter Island. Loved the movie, but thought it was extremely weird. I thought the acting was great and the dialogue and script was excellent but to truly understand the movie properly I think a person would have to be on acid. I don't have anything to do with illegal drugs so I have to rate the movie a 6 out of 10.

Seven Pounds

10/10

I finally got around to watching it. It was one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen in my life. I think it was one of Will Smith's most powerful performances and it was just an AMAZING movie.

Anyone who hasn't seen it definitely should!

The Last Airbender: 2/10

This movie is horrificly bad. It's got one of the worst scripts I've heard since the new Star Wars. It gets 2 stars for some cool visuals but that's about all. I felt bad for my friends who are fans of the show it's based on, they were crushed. And they're making two more of these movies? Lol.

Also Toy Story 3: 9/10. I don't ever cry at movies, but if I did, I probably would have teared up in this one.

*edit* I didn't see the above post before posting ,lol.
