Rate The Last Movie You Saw

Taken 2/10

And it only gets two because Liam Neeson was in it. Asinine script, ridiculous one-dimensional storyline, characters you absolutely do not care about. I hope Liam got a good paycheque out of it, because it was complete rubbish.

And you people rating movies 10/10 need to recalibrate. There are only between six and eighteen (there's some dispute) 10/10 movies in existence, and none of them are gross-out comedies, slasher movies, or made from comic books.

Seriously, anybody who rates a movie 10 out of 10 reminds me of that gag about how dogs think:

OMG! Dog food! My favourite!

OMG! Going for a walk! My favourite!

OMG! Catching the frisbee! My favourite!

Thanks. I wrote the first draft last night and tweaked it this morning. I wanted it to be just so.

To the people who claim I never like anything, I thought Milk was absolutely brilliant. As much as I don't want to like Sean Penn (on account of him being such a jerk) I have to admit he is an excellent actor.

So I'm not alone in this perception, then.

I get the feeling that people don't get out enough. When they finally get out of their basements and down to the mall, they're overwhelmed by the BEST BURGER EVER at McDonald's in the food court and THE WORLD'S GREATEST SHOES in the window of Foot Locker. If they ever walk past the Disney Store, their heads will probably explode.

To me there's only one real 10/10 for me. And that is Boogie Nights. My fave of all-time.

Anyways, just finished The Hurt Locker. Holy friggin intense Iraq-war story, Batman. One of the best war movies I've seen maybe ever. Awesome directing, perfect acting, and just INTENSE! Very real.

9/10

Just watched "Knowing". I can't decide on 6 or 7 out of 10.

Nicholas Cage, (as usual) was far too over the top. Yes, I know he knows the world is going to end, but he spends all his time running around completely batsh!t crazy, and for some inexplicable reason, won't explain anything to anybody.

I liked the fact that the world did actually end, and the special effects were pretty cool. However, once I figured out what was going on, I spent the rest of the movie thinking that the whole thing would have been better without the Alien angle. They should have just left it as a guy trying to prevent a bunch of disasters.

The final entry on the list could have been the day he buys it. That would have made for a cool paradox. (How did the psychic know that he would eventually end up with list?)

The solar flare that destroyed everything in it's path was pretty cool though.

Bart got a Room 5/10

Very lame story line and pretty poor acting. It seems like every movie William H. Macy is in is pretty brutal, or maybe it's just because he annoys me.

Got to see Youtube phenom Brandon Hardesty in his first feature film....he was probably my favorite character in the movie, but probably had about 10 minutes of screen time total.

Had a couple of little chuckles, but thats about it.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

8/10

best potter movie yet

decent character development and good effects. Story is great.

main negative is big battle chopped off at the end and the lack of Dumbledore's funeral and other bits

Harry was supposed to be paralyzed under the cloak when Dumbledore is killed

I would argue that the Dark Knight should be included in your exclusive list. But movie watching is totally subjective, that being said. Why do you care what others rate movies as? While i agree that too many people on this thread give out 10/10's i dont get mad about it, because guess what? Its an opinion... how can it be wrong.

Get over yourself.
