D-Money
Wag The Dog - 8/10 Being made prior to 9/11 and the mess that followed, this movie proved to be far ahead of its time. It's about staging a fake war to boost presidential support, and drown out other scandals. Lots of great acting from the leads (Deniro, Hoffman, Heche), and awesome supporting actors and bit parts (Denis Leary, William H. Macy, Willie Nelson, Kirsten Dunst, Woody Harrelson, etc.). (BTW - If you want to see proof of some modern parallels, watch the documentary Control Room, to see how the Iraq war has been spun, including an overview of how the pulling down of Saddam's statue was completely staged.) Bieksallent03
8/10 for Harry Potter. Way too conflicted about what I think about it yet. They changed some scenes I think would have been better had they stuck to the originals, yet the new parts were still good. The film has a lot of quality throughout, yet spends two hours building up for a battle scene at the castle that never happens. They get in and get out in under two minutes and no one seems to run into them despite their running through the great hall. Weak climax in my opinion, very weak. Otherwise a great addition to the series.

g_bassi13
Sozin's Comet (Avatar: The Last Airbender) - 10/10 Sort of cheating on this, but it was technically a 2 hour four part movie, as well as the series finale. I was shocked at how good this was, especially considering it's a Nickelodeon Cartoon. (That applies to the entire series, really) A great ending to a great series. Would You Kindly?
The Orphan - 3/10. It was creepy at parts and just plain odd. I have never had and entire theater laugh in unison at the same "intense" part. Also, is it okay to have a crush on a young girl if she turns out to be older? Auximenes
Johnny Gaddar (Indian Movie) - 8/10 surprisingly good, brings back the neo-noir sort of genre back into Indian cinema and it's a refreshing change from the status-quo, good debut for Neil and good support from the other actors. Great twist at the end. I wish they didn't show that at the start so there would be more suspense imo. The one thing i would have preferred would be a little more character development.
