But I think it was the playclock, not the game clock they were talking about. Which would make sense as to why the play was blown down after the fact. If it was the game clock, they would've straightened it out beforehand, but it's really unusual for the playclock not to reset.

I believe that's what created the confusion. Correct me if I'm wrong (I may be). And damn it if I don't want to know!!

There was 1:05 before the BC timeout, the play went on when it should have been a t.o, and the clock ran anyways. The clock ran from 1:05 to 1:00 and was never reset.

On Global news they said the playclock. So they got that wrong? Because I always think of the playclock as the 20 second clock to get the play off.

(and how come you didn't tell me this in the pm?)

Your 2-5 Lions beat those stupid 7-1 frenchies, you should be happy.

(before I get a warning for this, I'm from Montreal and I speak french, so I'm allowed to use that term)

But did Geroy miss me? He usually comes over to my section and gives me a smile.

We always beat those Frenchies. Remember? It's just how it is.

How come the blocked BC field goal wasn't a live ball? Couldn't BC jump on it?

If a blocked field goal is in or behind the neutral zone, it's treated like a fumble and can be advanced by either team. Beyond the neutral zone, a blocked kick is treated like a punt or missed field goal and can be advanced only by the defense, unless a defensive player fumbles the ball, after which an offensive player can advance it.

Geez deb, family emergency?

Actually, two at the same time. And I still managed to (half) watch the game, but apparently not very well.

Oh yeah, there was an objectionable conduct call on Cox (it was kind of lame - just threw the ball back). But I don't remember a no yards call. Oh God, I better sleep this one off and try next time.

But how it's being reported is that it was a non play because the refs blew it dead to add time on the clock. At least per the CFL recap.

So according to the news - the flag, apparently was to signify "no play" because the play clock hadn't been set. Makes sense but who the hell dropped that ball? Als should be infuriated.
