silverpig
Actually, two at the same time. And I still managed to (half) watch the game, but apparently not very well. Oh yeah, there was an objectionable conduct call on Cox (it was kind of lame - just threw the ball back). But I don't remember a no yards call. Oh God, I better sleep this one off and try next time. mugpot
I have to admit I wasn't awake to see the conclusion of this game (Nobody told me I would get this old and lame this fast!) Glad to see they won, there is no doubt in my mind that the Lions will be in the playoffs this year.
Shift-4
Wow - what a crazy game. The Als should be po'd about that play clock call. I don't know what to make of this Lions team (will the real one please stand up) but I will take the win.
F-View
Why was there no no-yards call on the play then?
Mr. Shakermaker
I don't know why the players were prancing around after big plays and reacting like it was an incredible win. Our offence was brutal (outside of mallet), and jarious put out yet another disgustingly average game. I have never seen a player overthrow the ball so much, he didn't overthrow only one of about 8 or 10 long balls last night.

Captain Bob
Are you sure? I didn't think that was on the blocked field goal. Maybe I should watch the replay (my phone rang several times and I was preoccupied for a bit). The player picked up the ball, flags were thrown for no yards, and he was man handled and brought down at the two. He basically threw the ball at the ref to give it to him, and the ref called a penalty.

Tenacious
grrr, I still haven't gone to a Lions game this year yet. I'm gonna go and try to find someone to go with me on Sept. 19th (2 days before my bday ). None of my friends like the CFL... idiots.
Canuck_4_Life
I have to say, having seen the replay on TSN2 last night, that the objectional conduct call on Cox was a little hokey, however, I could understand how the ref would think that. Most guys usually hand the ball to the ref, or toss it under-hand, not in the throwing motion that Cox appeared to do so.
Lucic17
What a boring game to watch live. Thank goodness for the Lions' defense and Martell Mallett. Mallett was the offense last night. Yet another INCONSISTANTLY POOR effort by JJ. The Lions had better hope that Buckis healthy soon otherwise they ain't going no where. I don't understand why stupid JJ refuses to use Geroy more. I think he might have had 2 or 3 catches, Geroy needs the ball more. Good win none the less but I can't see them beating the Als in Montreal with another offensive performance like the one they had last night

For a city that often doesn't get "the breaks going their way" and isn't known for getting the calls or having the refs see things in their favour - last night was an exception. The officials helped us out (a lot) - obviously, not intentionally. But a few times. If I was an Al's fan I'd be somewhat choked about last night. Canuck_4_Life
For all you armchair quarterbacks, design your own plays to get the ball to Geroy. It's not as easy as you think, keeping in mind that your QB may only have the equivalent time that a blitzing DB gets from his side of the LOS (line of scrimmage) into the offensive backfield. While the huge numbers aren't there for Geroy, I'm willing to bet that he'd take another Grey Cup win over a receiving title.
