Captain Bob
Been to a Seahawks game - was so far up in the nosebleeds that the players looked like ants. OK, no pissing contests here. Just don't bother coming into the Lions thread to do nothing but slam them/the CFL and troll. And now I'm convinced you weren't at that game, so don't bother. It was loud and that catch was hard to forget. So either you were a little boy who brought some Lego to play with during the game and missed all the action and noise because Dad had you wear earplugs or, as I'm guessing, you've lied and weren't there. It was an extremely memorable game and anyone who says it was lame just wasn't in the building. Should we feel privileged that you're not a Lions' hater? Wow, thanks for doing us that favor. Now scat. Cost more than good seats to the Grey cup too, didn't it?
Captain Bob
Could Lager or deb help me out, you get 1 point on a missed field goal if the other team dosnt bring it out of the end zone correct? Correct. BUT! If the other team runs it out, they have to take the ball from where ever they get tackled. They can concede the single point and have the team that just kicked the field goal kick off again.
-DLC-
Here's the deal Twas (I've gone and taken a deep breath). You can have exciting games in both leagues and if you deny that, you're a fool. People who think that joining the ranks of "the CFL sucks" crowd gives them a "better than the rest" status are wrong and simply short changing themselves of more football, that's all. I love the CFL, first and foremost, but am also an NFL fan and watch every week. And, believe me, I've seen some real sleepers there. This "the talent's better" is crap - do they flash their talent badge before making a reception? To me - a catch is a catch is a catch. Same with a throw, fumble, etc. So I don't buy into the "my game's better than yours" grade school mentality that ranks right up there with "my Dad's better than yours". Don't come in here and make snide remarks about a team that most of us here follow, faithfully and are fans of. What is your point? It just make you look juvenile and although I guess the attempt is to look cool, it doesn't come off that way. It makes you look like an donkey, so save it. If you want to talk about the game, the players, etc. - welcome aboard. If you're here to talk NFL, there's a spot for that. The game last night was NOT one of the Lions' best, so to talk like it was just proves you have no clue.

Captain Bob
Thanks a bucnh Lager, I was wondering why we didnt get a point after a miss. Thanks for clearing it up for me. You also get a point on the kick off if it doesn't get run out, UNLESS it goes right through the back of the end zone. But if a field goal miss goes out the back of the end zone, it IS a point. Confusing, I know
-DLC-
Thanks a bucnh Lager, I was wondering why we didnt get a point after a miss. Thanks for clearing it up for me. Sorry, missed that question. Too busy being juvenile. Anyhow, back on topic. I think that was a huge win last night (so cliche)....but in the second half, we came out flat and I really thought "oh oh" and fully expected us to blow it. But they didn't and they managed to win in exciting fashion....good on Whyte for redeeming himself like that...held my breath on that one. But they're still in this thing and building character as they go. Damn, Buck's tough as nails.
Captain Bob
Damn, only 100 passing yards for Calvillo in the first half. I'd like to see him pass Damon Allen on the all time passing list. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All-Time_Prof...s_%28CFL/NFL%29 Yes, that's right CFL haters, they have a list that includes CFL and NFL and CFL is on top. Captain Bob
How come you cant go outside and smoke anymore at lions games? Its a Vancouver bylaw You gotta be pretty far from a doorway, and it's just not feasible to set an area up like that.
Captain Bob
I agree with most of what you said. But, I want to watch the best athletes in their respective sport. That's why they have the NFL. Plus, ESPN or whoever is broadcasting does a better job presenting the game if you can't attend the game. Do you watch the WHL? World juniors? Captain Bob
That's not even a close comparison But yeah for junior hockey, I want to watch the WHL over anything else. How is it not a good comparison? You claim you only watch the best athletes in the sport, so why watch WHL if the NHL players are better?
