-DLC-
Just got home... glad to see the boys come up with a W. Anyone wanna provide me with a quick summary of the game? We came out strong and dominated in the first quarter and half....had a 17-1 lead at one point. Eskimos started battling back and made a game of it, but we were hanging on, right up until the end where we still had a 27-24 lead (a minute and a half left in the game). Then Paul "PUT ME IN OR I'LL WHINE" kicked a WHOPPING 20 yarder off the side of his foot, giving Edmonton good field position. The manure was all but delivered. Instead of simply getting into field goal range, the Esks went for the jugular and capitalized with a TD with less than a minute to go. It really looked like that sealed the deal at 31-27 and that we'd let it slip away...I was PISSED. Then, miraculously (but not unGeroy like), Buck found Geroy (who'd split the defenders...had 3 guys in the area) and had to look behind him to bring in a beautiful catch. Geroy then took it in for a 60+ yard touchdown. Edmonton still had time for a play/two to try and get into field goal range, but didn't. Whew - one of "those" finishes. BTW - Geroy=God. (LH - I'm contacting my lawyer)

PowerIce
http://www.cfl.ca/article/lions-sign-draft-pick-jamall-lee Lions sign draft pick Jamall Lee < Return to Article October 12, 2009 CFL.ca Staff VANCOUVER -- The BC Lions Football Club announced this afternoon that 2009 first-round CFL Canadian Draft selection (third overall) Jamall Lee has agreed to terms on a contract. “I am very pleased to have Jamall joining us during this extremely important part of our season,” said Lions GM and head coach Wally Buono. ”He has the size, speed and skill to help us in a number of areas and I look forward to seeing him on the field as a Lion.” Lee finished up a brilliant career at Bishop’s University as the CIS’ leading rusher with 1,202 yards on 182 carries which broke his own record for carries in a season and left him with the second-highest single-season rushing total in QUFL history. The Leos were able to secure the Port Coquitlam product by moving up one notch on the draft board back in May after exchanging what would have been their third pick of the first round (6th overall) as well their second round selection (13th overall) for Hamilton’s second selection of the first round (3rd overall). Prior to making it official with his hometown Leos today, Lee was signed by the NFL’s Carolina Panthers in April and appeared in all four preseason games before being released at the end of training camp in August. Canuck_4_Life
Martell Mallett isn't going anywhere. I see the end of Ian Smart. You don't dump the a rookie who is ripping up the league (2nd, behind Fred Reid) in rushing for an unproven Canadian.

lateralus
Extremely disappointed in the Esks right now, bad plays near the end of games are costing them big time. Awesome catch by Simon but no way in the world should he have been able to score, a couple of HS players could have made a tackle there....complete and udder BS. Cross over anyone LOL
