VanJets
It's still right up there amongst the most bone-headed plays in Superbowl history. Which illustrated my point that mental errors in championship games are not the exclusive territory of the CFL. I also considered including Chris Webber's 'timeout' in the '93 NCAA Championship. Hordichuk
Jean Van de Velde trying to hit the ball out of the water with a three-shot lead on the final hole of the British Open in 1999. Also, Webber gave the timeout in an NCAA game in the early 80s. Josh Howard called a dumb timeout in the 06 NBA finals though.

Canuck_4_Life
Good on Kavis Reed, Special Teams Coordinator for the Riders, to step up and take the blame for the game-chaging blunder. So, using the 2004 logic, does that mean Kavis Reed gets manure dumped on lawn? or are the supposed to dump it on his neighbours?

Vain
That's pretty funny actually. Here's my favorite one though; with Montreal winning tonight the "different team" streak extends to 6, which I'd say is pretty good in an 8 team league. 2004 Toronto 2005 Edmonton 2006 BC 2007 Saskatchewan 2008 Calgary 2009 Montreal Oh and since I'm in the thread... lol@ the province of Saskatchewan. Canuck_4_Life
I'd rather be Montreal's doormat in Olympic Stadium in a hostile environment rather than lose in primetime in front of most of your home province. Never mind, the way they lost, but that's another post in itself. Screw it, I've been saying it all night and will continue to say it right through to Opening Day: This looks good on Rider Nation. Using the theory that 6 different teams have won it in the past 6 years, that must mean the next two Grey Cup games will be won by Winnipeg and Hamilton. canuck_rocker
I suppose but I think you are off topic, taking things too serious or both. All I know is I am glad I don't work at a hotel in Calgary right now.
Shift-4
Just got back from Cowtown! There was some depressed Riders fans there. Hotel clerk said a couple of them actually left a day earlier then they were supposed to they just had to get out. We decided not to stay at a hotel overnight and went straight to the airport, and there was this really depressed Riders fan sitting on the floor and the ticket checkout talking about how the whole thing sucked. Overall though, yes there was some really angry drunk Riders fans, but there was also atleast 25,000 of them and for the most part I thought they handled the loss really well. If that's me and the Lions lose a Grey Cup that way I would have a difficult time talking to anybody for the rest of the night. Amazing game overall!
