CanuckRow
I'm assuming he's not healthy yet... But I realize he is probably going to play for Manitoba. Ugh, my bad.
avelanch
Yeah, he's on the moose IR. He's not going back to the ice dogs, and they maxed out their allowed # of overagers anyway, so he couldn't go back if he wanted to.

avelanch
Sea Dogs? What is an Ice Dog anyways? sea dogs, ice dogs, they're all just seals. And Friesen's on the ice dogs. Sauve's on the seadogs.
Millerdraft
GP 13 G 7 A 10 PTS 17 PIM 6 making a bid for the WJ's? I'd love to see him out there. Sweet Jesus, where's this offense coming from? 5'10" isn't that small since he dwarfs Schroeder and he plays like a wrecking ball...

It's not that crazy. He was a PPG player last season for them, and he's had a great start to the season.

DeNiro
2 Assists tonight for Friesen in an Ice Dogs victory. He now has 25 points in 23 GP and is a +2. He's also second on his team in scoring.
Alexandre
^^ Sweet. It is nice to see him maintain his better than a point a game pace this season. The things I really like about Friesen's stats the past 2 years is that they get better in the playoffs and have increased over time. His ppg in 08/09 increased from 0.52 in the regular season to 0.83 in the playoffs. In 09-10, his ppg increased from 1 in the regular season to 1.4 in the playoffs. As you can see, he has also bettered his ppg over the past 2 seasons both in the regular season and playoffs. It looks like he will improve on those stats again. CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Is there a possibility that he could make team Canada for juniors, its most likely not going to happen but with the way he is playing he looks like he could sure add some much needed grit, speed and skill, something lots of players lack. It would be quite an accomplishment. Like it or not (I do not), the WJCs tend to select based on pedigree and often draft position. It would be against the odds for a 6th round pick to make it, but not impossible. Jamie Benn made it as a 5th round pick, Della Rovere as a 7th. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it would be a tad out of the ordinary. That said, I agree with what you're saying and would love to see him there. avelanch
anyone know when the rosters are announced? it should be getting soon, shouldn't it? Edit: last year it was Dec 16th, so i guess there's still some time.
Canuckee
I don't think he makes it. Perhaps if he kept his 1.5 points per game pace then.
DeNiro
A 3 point night for Friesen last night. He had 1 goal and 2 assists in an 8-2 Ice Dogs thumping. He now has 32 points in 31 GP played and is a plus 10.
