lateralus Posted September 27, 2010 Share Posted September 27, 2010 Arlington, VA (Sports Network) - The Washington Capitals have signed forward Matt Hendricks to a one-year contract. Hendricks posted nine goals and seven assists for 16 points in 56 games for the Colorado Avalanche last season. He was invited to Washington's camp on a tryout basis and recorded a hat trick in the team's preseason opener last Wednesday against Columbus. The 29-year-old Minnesota native has appeared in 60 NHL games, all with Colorado, since making his debut in 2008 and has nine goals and seven assists with 87 penalty minutes.
