Kevin Bieksa you are really...

Honestly, I understand the key crticisms as i've said many times before...again, I don't ignore your stats, i ignore the context of your stats because they are narrative supporting for the most part. The narrative is that Bieksa sucks....not saying that you've asserted that...correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's the narrative trying to be written by the anti-Bieksa crowd.

As I've said numerous times before, stats are not the be all and end all of arguing pro or con. They are a slice of the truth. I fully except Bieksa's downsides as much as I appreciate his upsides...if that makes me ignorant, so be it. My argument has always been, that he isn't as bad as he's made out to be...whether by non-contextual statistical arguments or skewed subjective and biased post game arguments. When it comes to Juice, I take the good with the bad, except, I choose to recognise the bad and celebrate the good.

Awww muffin you don't like lil wayne? well im sorry to hear that, but really i could care less about musical tastes right now. Last time I checked we were talking about Kevin Bieksa, not a black rapper from New Orleans who has zero affiliation with the Vancouver Canucks or Kevin Bieksa.

So next time you tell someone to get a clue, how about you stay on topic instead of reaching out for crappy arguments... also, gonna throw this out there, the whole "I have a good argument against them, but it's long, detailed, and I have to get ready for work" is one of the worst excuses i've read in a while seeing as you actually don't have an argument.

The fact you like Little Dwayne's music ruins your credibility, not that you had much anyway. You have no ability to asses musical talent which simply involves listening, so you sure as hell can't assess a hockey player or the game itself. Plus, we have yet to see an argument from you aside from going after other members, contributing nothing of substance or quoting hank&dan or Duodenum (check over your post history in this thread if your little pea brain can't remember), which by the way, that essay post of his - those stats are also flawed to an extent somewhat. I've seen that post in this thread already and called it out.

This. Thanks CC, I couldn't have said it any better.

Anyways, sorry for the lateness of the reply. Been very busy. Frankly I'm tired, I'll keep it short.

In sports stats are everything. Stats determine a players salary, their playing time and whether or not they belong on the team they play for. Technically the things you list there ARE stats, just not recorded ones. Seriously people, get a flipping clue.

As it was said before, hockey is a business, therefore, the only stat that truly matters, is the number of tickets sold in a season.

As you said yourself, those "stats" are not recorded, and yet they have a huge impact on a player.

Stats don't necessarily determine a players salary. ie. Jeff Finger was signed to a 3.5M contract based on potential.

Players playing time aren't necessarily dependent on stats either. ie. Alberts having more ice time per game than Rome last season.

Whatever, all that is meaningless. The real argument was about stats being useless because they are black and white.

Riddle me this: statistically, Bieksa was in the top 2 defencemen on the team. Do you think he was the second best dman?

If Bieksa gets a point tonight how many Bieksa fans are going to start barking about how good offensively he was. Don't forget, it's been 10 games.

I haven't watched all the games this season, so it's hard for me to say anything, but frankly, as a Bieksa supporter, I can agree with you that he needs to pick up his offensive game, fast and furiously.

Talk about insecurity in ones opinion.

It is obvious he wants Bieksa gone.

What I wonder is if he would rather Bieksa tank and therefore be able to say I told you so or have Bieksa get on a roll helping the Canucks win games and increasing his trade value if he is the who has to go in the end?

I can't believe how many haters complain about Bieksa having no offense lol the guy has been getting the most scoring chances or just as much as our best offensive dmen he just isn't getting any help or isn't burying his chances are you guys that blind!

It's just a matter of time before the points start going in for Bieksa it's hockey sometimes you get rewarded and sometimes you don't most people with half a brain get this but it's no surprise the haters don't.

Not even gonna lie, that is the weakest argument I remember making. The point is valid, but I don't know if anyone is actually going to understand what I'm trying to say.

Were you trying to say that people who know way more than we do and have way more informantion and resourses than we do might see something we don't?

YES, exactly, kinda. Stats are only half the story.

Edit: and they can be easily manipulate to make a player look good or bad depending on the opinion of the poster. So in my opinion, they are virtually useless.

I think the experts use something called scouting reports compiled by other experts.

Do you think BXa's rep could get any worse if he plays in classic Bieksa style as per below.

What do you think will he look like a Norris candidate tonight, lol, or will he make so many turnovers he will have to open a bakery?

Man, I will be glad when he is gone, he is so unreliable.

It's not the first time someone has shoveled the puck into their net. Who cares.

The second is pretty bad. Maybe it's water flavored vodka in his bottle or something. Not sure what the hell was going on there.

Just another post by you yet again that doesn't make sense.

If we were going to get rid of defensemen based on own goals Edler leads the pack by a mile and would have been long ago.

I have to laugh at your hate for Bieksa i read all your posts and you never make any sense.

I think he posts pointless crap such as this just to get under people's skin.
