Nuckle_Up
Hi Lovers, Hater here, granted he had a decent game, brilliant by your standards, but he's still crap. I'd love nothing more than to eat my words, but I doubt I ever will when it comes to him. Here's the record so far: 1 good game 11 awful games Lovers, don't get too ahead of yourself. Ghostsof1915
All the people grumbling about the fact we didn't sign B-Mo. I'm more ticked that LA threw a large chunk of cash at Willie Mitchell. (It was a $3.5 million gamble, but man is it paying off!) Mitchell: +6, 5 points 23:20 average ice time (The guy is a horse!) Bieksa: 3 points, +2, 22:20 average ice time I trust Mitchell in critical situations more than Bieksa. Curse you LA!

Uhm..are you counting preseason, because the Canucks have only played 11 games in the regular season. So that should read 1 good game 10 mediocre to crappy games. Let me see if I can put my truth translator to this. Hi Lovers, Hater here, Bieksa had a very good game last night and has strung together a few good ones in a row, I'm embaressed in myself, clearly my assessment skills are crap. I really actually hate having to eat my own words, and quite frankly no matter how he plays I'm going to give him as little credit as I can. Here's the record so far. 1 really good game. A few good games. A few mediocre games. 1 awful game.

Mike27
Yeah they rolled the dice on Mitchell and really won. I agree, they rolled the dice and are currently winning big. If,heaven forbid, Mitchell gets a bump to the noggin, they are still in a position to lose big for the next two years. Hopefully Mitchell has a long and healthy career. But, he does have that "Sword of Damocles" hanging over his head.

He's played equally well in several other games in my opinion, but he just didn't get the points like he got tonight. Hopefully he can string together some points to quiet down some of the stupidity around here. And if he doesn't, I'll still support him as a member of the Canucks, and hope he finds a way to find the game he brought last night.

I counted a couple of bonehead giveaways and two comical missed checks plus he was not totally innocent on the goal where Alberts was out manned and Penner stripped the puck went to the net and scored. He likely made more, but I wasn't really counting. Anyhow he didn't have a really good game as you say, he had a good game with really good results. I would say he has had 8 awful games, a couple of so so games and one good one vs Edm.

A few good games. A few mediocre games. 1 awful game. I fully agree with this assessment. He hasn't been great, but he hasn't been horrible. It looks like he and Kesler are finding their games. Hopefully they can keep it up. In his awful game, and in a few of his mediocre games, several other players also played poorly. Our critical eyes single out those we dislike, I guess. Without making an effort to track his errors, i counted the ones mentioned in the post you are replying to. This infers that there probably were more. CANUCKLELION
seriously? give it a rest already, your schtick is getting really old. seriously? the only schtick is the blind Bieksa love going on. It's comical how in some posters eyes, yours included, BXa can do no wrong, like I said he had a good game yesterday with really good results, he most often plays poorly and has poor results. The sooner he is gone the better the Nuck's will be.

wallstreetamigo
I think both sides need to temper their optimism/pessimism a little bit. He has had a couple of really poor games and a couple of really good ones. The rest were middle of the road with some good and some bad. This is the typical pattern that Bieksa shows, so it should come as no surprise to anyone. One good game or one bad game should also not be used as an argument that he is the best or that he sucks. His problem is consistency, especially in his defensive game. It always has been and probably always will be (hopefully not though). He has had a couple of games this season where, other than for a couple of bounces, he should have had a point or two but it didnt work out (3rd assist scenarios, missed opportunities by others, etc.). Last night he got 3 assists but only 1 was really the result of him contributing in a big way to the resulting goal (the shot that was tipped in). Even that looked like it was going wide though, but a great tip by Torres. It started with Bieksa getting the puck through to the net. Realistically, the other two were a great desperation move by Torres and a total fluke goal, and had nothing to do with Bieksa. That is the way it goes though. My point? He is not all of a sudden the second coming because he got 3 points. Just like he was not an AHL quality Dman when he got no points previously.
