Whoopsy
Hmm, where is LePussy? Didn't he lost a bet that he has to use a Bieksa sig? Did he decided to stay away until the bet is over so he can weasel out of that too?
EmployeeoftheMonth
Hmm, where is LePussy? Didn't he lost a bet that he has to use a Bieksa sig? Did he decided to stay away until the bet is over so he can weasel out of that too? Bieksa was injured so no sig. On top of that quite frankly I'm far to lazy to actually make it. VCanucks#16
I'm sick and tired of reading all this bashing of Kevin Bieksa, he's not perfect and no one is everyone makes mistakes deal with it. Yes he may turn the puck over or might not get the puck out of the zone, guess what everyone in the NHL does this stop hating on him so much and realize why he was picked by Henrik to be an Assistant Captain. Bieksa is always in the middle of a scrum for the Canucks when he's on the ice, he stands up for his players and does a pretty dam good job of it. That's what a leader is all about on a team, when one realizes the situation and understands a star player may be in need and Bieksa will go out of his way to help that one out and he will make sure he gets the guy or guys off his player, that's a true leader. I think to many people have forgot what Kevin brings to this team and how he treats this team as family and will protect his team no matter what and the Canucks need more grit players like this on the team and why Kevin deserves to be on this team and why he has an A. The vids I am going to show most of them are from 2009, but 2 differen't seasons. And some others! Bieksa to the aid of Kesler vs Rangers![Nov 3rd, 2009] Bieksa to the aid of Kesler once again![Nov 10, 2009] He even skates all the way from infront of Lu to help! Bieksa helping out Kesler again![Feb 10, 2009] The brawl between Chicago in the playoffs![Mar 29, 2009] Bieksa to the aid of Luongo.[Feb 29, 2008] Bieksa is always willing to fight![Dec 27, 2009] Once again he will fight! [Oct 3, 2009] This is what a Leader is all about Bieksa looks out for everyone! Bieksa vs Mike Richards round 1 [Dec 30, 2008] Bieksa vs Richards round 2 [Dec 3, 2009] Anyways there are other videos of Bieksa and fighting you can probably search them yourself, but atleast you can see the picture and why this guy is so important for the Canucks. Bieksa has done a lot for the Canucks and people have forgotten this, you need to understand he is more important to this team than many of you may think and he is a Leader and deserves it and Henrik knew what he was doing, another great reason why Henrik is the Captain he makes the right choices. The Best Video here I have to say is the fight Bieksa is in with BJ Crombeen of the St. Louis Blues where he comes to the Aid of Ryan Kesler it's the 2nd video down from the top in the list check it out, so funny! Just wanted to bump this again and always liked these videos of Bieksa! And to prove back in October I was saying how much the Canucks needed this guy and barley, barley anyone agreed, yet now more than half the people have changed their minds. jammerculture
...... missed Bieksa is one of the true core players on this team. I don't think it's a coincidence that he went down and then we started slumping. He is the leader on the back end, a true friend of many of the core guys and my hands down pick as the canuck I'd most want to have at my back during a zombie apocalypse. I have, do and always will believe that his earlier "inconsistent" play was 110% the result of him being asked to take on roles he was not meant too, in order to fill holes in our team, because when a coach needs something, guys like Bieksa and Kesler are the guys the coaches go to. Guys like this win championships. go canucks go

marinated.pea
Any updates on when Bieksa might be returning......3 weeks are up. I am assuming he hasn't even started skating. Eligible to play Saturday but he didn't travel to Calgary. Murph said he's expected to start skating next week. I'd assume the staff wanted Juice all ready and healthy to come back - not rush him back half-healthy to bump off Rome, who hasn't lost a game for us anyways (but haters gon' hate lol). Of course it would be great to see Juice back, but it's not like this team is in dire need of his services right now. We're at the very least managing without him, which gives him the better chance to get to 100% on that foot.

It will not be wise to have two defensman (Edler, Bieksa) get in the mix of things close to the playoffs

Sharpshooter
Bieksa is back The Canucks will get defenceman Kevin Bieksa back in the lineup against the Red Wings. Bieksa has missed 15 games since suffering a broken bone in his foot in Minnesota on Feb. 15. “It feels good,” said Bieksa, who’s in the midst of his best NHL season. “It feels like a long time and I’m excited to get back. I think we have nine games left, so it should give me enough time to get all the rust out and get my game back. That’s the key, to feel rested and sharp headed into the playoffs.” Associate coach Rick Bowness said getting Bieksa back will be a welcome event. “Things are going get gritty very quickly here and we’re going to need his physical presence, his defensive responsibility and the leadership,” said Bowness. Read more: http://www.theprovince.com/sports/Daniel+Sedin+wife+baby+watch/4480320/story.html#ixzz1HMEC1eAW Glad to have him back in the lineup tomorrow. I'm sure there will be a little rust there at the outset. I hope the foot is fully healed and that he still has the footspeed that he's had all season long. It's helped immeasurably, defencively, when getting back to break up a play. Wonder if he'll get back with Hammer right away, or ease in on the 3rd pairing with Rome? It'll also be a good boost in morale and fill the lockerroom leadership void with Manny out. Having Juice back will help or be good in different ways for a lot of guys I think. One more sleep, till the Juice is let loose!
UFCanuck
Kind of worried about this guy in the playoffs again. He sucks when he comes off an injury. It usually takes him 30-40 games to get his timing down.

I'm sure there'll be a little rust....but he wasn't really out that long, to the point where it'll affect his game greatly. Watch, he'll be back to his good play, in a couple games.....i've no doubt. Champions of Nothing
Kind of worried about this guy in the playoffs again. He sucks when he comes off an injury. It usually takes him 30-40 games to get his timing down. A broken foot is actually not a bad injury to have compared to the other ones he's had. I assume it's fully healed at this point, but even if it's not the only thing holding him back would be the pain. If he can handle the pain, he is good to go. And since he was out longer then originally thought, the place of the team and it's depth at the position, it is fully healed. A broken foot isn't something that's going to linger like a pulled groin and bad back (crossing fingers for Edler). Kevin Bieksa you are really..... PLAYING TOMORROW!
