Kevin Bieksa you are really...

I don't understand how you addressed my point. Bieksa's best years - by FAR - have been his past two contract years. Does that not concern you in the least?

While this is true you don't look at the whole picture.

You are right his best years by far have been contract years but there are more coincidences than just that.

The one that comes to mind as the most legitimate would be that in those years he was also not seriously injured. THose 2 bad years he started the season with injured abs followed by having his leg lacerated by a skate missing a significant amount of time. The year after that he has the same thing happen to his leg which imo is his fault for being too stupid to wear the kevlar socks he has now but then followed it up with a pretty good playoffs. This brings us to this year where he went from pretty good and worked himself into legitimately becoming the first pairing shut down role D he is now.

If it's just contract years then give him an incentive driven contract. Problem solved. I happen to think however that his injuries have had more of an effect on his play then which year of his contract he was in. It's pretty common for players who have been out for long periods of time to be behind the rest of the team in several aspects of the game.

I agree about keeping Bieksa, and it may take a 4 x 5 deal to keep him - BUT, it would still scare me.

So far in his career, he has only really shown up in a contract year. The injuries were part of it, sure...but I'm not 100% sold that they were ALL of it.

The 2008-2009 season was his best offencive year ever.....so that kinda goes against your theory.

There is a certain someone here that would absolutely HANGS Bieksa out the front gate if that gaff by Ehrhoff tonight was from Bieksa.

I wonder if he is man enough to apply the same standard to the whole team or he is just biased against Bieksa.

Obviously wasn't Ehrhoff's fault. The negative energy from Mason Raymond transferred onto the puck and when he passed it to Ehrhoff, by pure quantum physics the puck bounced away from Hoff's stick by itself. Naturally, it was all Raymond's fault.

come on, that was weak.

I can do better.

IT'S STILL BIEKSA'S FAULT!!!!

Cause he is in the lineup. Game, Set, Match. Everything is Bieksa's fault because I hate him.

Juice with another +1, for +30 for the season.....and 24:52 minutes, which was a team high tonight.

This is our monster defender right now...and I couldn't be more proud of him and all of the support from the true supporters from the get go....you know who you are!

WHOO!
