Kevin Bieksa you are really...

Actually, there is no question as to Bxa vs the Hoff, the Hoff is the better Dman, the market proved that! Whether it was worse to overpay Bxa and give him a cap crippling 5 yr NTC vs signing the Hoff for 5.2 for 5 yrs with no NTC, was the argument. I won and the apologists are just sore losers and have resorted to name calling.

To Sampy, I say takes one to know one, lol

PS the Thread is .. KB, are you really.......... that useless.

Meanwhile in the real world, there's no evidence at all that Ehrhoff would have signed for that.

He was on the market all Summer thru probably Nov. last season. There were lots of verbal offers but apparently none of them amounted to a bag of pucks, so MG kept him.

Ah yes, making up your "facts" as you go along once again, eh C? You have absolutely zero evidence to prove this, and as Baggins said, there is considerable evidence to refute it.

Oh, and the $5.2 million "offer": Weren't you challenged to prove that little fantasy several pages ago? I don't recall you coming up with anything to back it up....

Slightly higher? A 40 million $ contract vs a 23 million $ deal? Hoff's contract is slightly less than twice as great as Bxa's. do the simple math.

Not to mention over his 2 years as a Nuck he eclipsed Bxa's point production, as well as his +/- resultsand in durability, or minutes and games played. Heck even give Bxa his last 3 yrs vs the Hoff's 2 and Bxa doesn't even come close.

oops, he did surpass Hoff in sour puss sneers and mindless remarks to the media. lol

Tis said that statistics are for losers .. need I say more?? .. ask knowledgeable Canuck fans and ask them who they would rather have on their team for the Finals .. a healthy Hoff or a healthy Bieksa? .. market price is immaterial as they both bring different intangibles to the table .

I would hazard a guess that fans would be split about even on who offers more to the team .. I see both sides of this argument, but mostly I see you with your "head"in the sand", (some think your head is stuck somewhere else), unable, or unwilling to see anything but your own narrow perspective ..

Living in a black and white universe went out with Lucy and Desi ..

Wow so you complain about bxa contract all along but you think hoff is worth his "almost double" contract ? Seriously? So basically you are claiming hoff is nearly twice as good as bxa? Rofl

Not exactly, I said Hoff's contract , generated by the market as evidenced by the multiple offers, prior to him getting to free agency, was twice as good. So the market said Hoff is worth almost 2X the value of Bxa.

Hoff offered his services to the Nuck's @ 5.2 for 5, or 26 mil, and was expecting a counter offer, when MG traded his rights.

Hoff was a steal @ 26 mil over 5 yrs, MG passed, NYI offered him even more and Ehrhoff passed so he was traded to Buf. where of course they made him an offer he couldn't refuse. The pundits thought he was waiting for free agency to go to Detroit, for Rafalski money at 6 mil. per yr.

Those rumours were quelled by a reporter (cant remember) who had an inside line to detroit and said they were not interested in ehrhoff.

Detroits pretty smart about who they want on their team.

Ehrhoff is no rafalski.

If you rely, as you do on +/- stats to rate Dmen, Ehrhoff's career +/- is infinitely greater than the career minus +/- player Bxa. lol

So if you think Bxa could play a shut down role then the stats indicate the Hoff would be infinitely better in that role. lol

Stats are for losers.

Two sets of stats that I like are:

Bieksa on a 6 game point streak!

Canucks 5 wins and 1 loss in the last 6 games!

You can't claim something to be true without a valid source to back it up. Despite valid sources for the Canucks offer, the Islanders offer, and Ehrhoffs surprise at being traded (where such a statement would doubtless be mentioned), there is nothing at all about Ehrhoff offering to sign for $5.2m. If such an offer was ever made and then made public it would have been picked up by major Vancouver news sources if only to create controversy. Never happened. Like so many of your so called "facts", it's simply another of your many delusions.
