Kevin Bieksa you are really...

do you have anything positive to say about ryan kesler? or are you going to lick your lips and wait for him to make more mistakes so you can rag on him like you have in the posts I have read so far? if you will scour this thread, I have been defending bieksa from the kooks who want to trade him for essentially a bag of used pucks.

Do I have to have anything positive to say about Bieksa or Kesler ( my keyboard is acting up and my question marks arnt working, just so you know)

This is a forum where people discuss and debate things... I dont see anywhere I have to like every person in the canucks organisation...

But since you asked.... and Since I think you said kesler by mistake instead of bieksa first, I will adress both of them.

Kesler is a hard worker, a great agitator, and will stick up for his team mates. Hes not a natural scorer, or playmaker, but makes his points by sheer guts and determination... However, his attitude rubs me the wrong way...

Bieksa, seems to be a good team guy, and everyone in the room likes him. He will stick up for his team mates if he needs to. However, I feel he isnt a great fighter, nor overly big, so he isnt that good at standing up for his team mates. He does make some fantastic pinches and break out passes, but for my liking, makes more mistakes than he should. I would prefer him moved, and we get something in return.

I have discussed Both players, especially Bieksa many many times over the last few years... and ive defended them both , and been hard on them both. I would prefer Kesler to stay, and Bieksa to go.

That is my opinion.

Bieksa Lovers: Bieksa is the best thing since sliced bread and makes no mistakes. Anyone who criticizes Bieksa is a hater who is also a loser and not a real fan.

Bieksa Haters: Bieksa is a useless sack of crap that does nothing right. Anyone who defends Bieksa is a blind Bieksa homer who doesnt understand hockey.

Actual Knowledgeable People: None of the above. He is good at some things, bad at others, does make big mistakes at times but is not solely responsible for every goal against or every team loss.

Did I sum up the 60 odd pages in this thread well enough for everyone?

You were doing well until you had to qualify your statements with "big" mistakes and is "not soley" responsible.

Why bother posting that?

would you rather Kesler play like a p***y? or acted like a ballerina out there instead of showing some balls? what is it exactly about his attitude that rubs you the wrong way? I see Kes as a breath of fresh air compared to some of the listless players we've had in the past.

the huge stupid cloud hanging over this thread is you sharpshooter. you defending that complete team-killer bieksa shows me your lack of intelligence. bieksa is a cancer to the team, killing it, and yet you come on here and defend him. how absolutely moronic is that? are you his boyfriend or something? is there something here you're not telling us? you love him or something? a boy/man love? yech. you creep me out.

He still needs to hit the net. Every time he has a great scoring opportunity in the shot, the puck goes wide of the net. He's doing everything else right, but that shot of his is failing to hit the 4x6.

if he and raymond keep assaulting the net the way they have been....and they are getting plenty of shots away...the floodgates will open eventually, imo.

I never said I wanted him to act like a ......

The part I dont like, is the crossing of the line with some of the things he says...

Hes mouth is a bit like Avery.. and we all know how Dallas appreciated his sloppy seconds remark...

Kesler likes to go into the same dangerous verbal territory as Avery does... Thats what I dont like...

He can be as tough as nails, and fight all comers, Id love that... However you still need to have respect for players and people in general... And Kesler often forgets that when talking.

You really need to stop posting. You're even giving Bieksa bashers a bad rep.

i think that's a little extreme, putting Kesler in the same category as someone like Sean Avery....Steve Ott maybe....

Why bother posting that?

It was a reference to what the lovers/haters argue about the most about him. The supporters suggest any mistake makes is a minor one (hence the Big mistake comment), while the haters say he is responsible for every goal ever scored on us (hence the reference to him being solely responsible).

Why not learn to take a joke?

EDIT: and thank you for actually proving my point that the most extreme people will pick a small detail to nitpick, much like you just did to me there.

I dont think its extreme. He is not to the classless level of Avery no, but he does have the same MO...

Maby you are right, and Ott is a better comparison.

In order for me to "take", laugh at, understand a joke it's gotta be funny.

i doubt you'd ever see kesler or ott slash a man on the ankles twice and actually think he can get away with it.

I was more referring to the style of verbal attack Kesler uses. Kesler has a better filter than Avery does, but he does go to the forbidden zone of bring family onto the ice.

Avery is on a douchebaggery level of his own... I was merely comparing style. Kesler does stop well before Avery does.

Henrik Sedin has said that Alex Burrows chirps more than anyone on the team....but Kes does go a bit into the blue area verbally every once in a while..I will say that.
