I wonder how many years this kid has been playing Mature-rated games... ...Not to mention watching porn.

People can argue until the cows come home whether these have an effect on adults, but it's pretty clear they can be extremely damaging to the psyche of a developing mind.

Way to pull a theory out of absolutely nowhere. For all we know these kids were avid readers and didn't own a video game.

And porn? Really? I watched a ton of porn as a teen and I never wanted to rape, murder, and mutilate a person and then set their remains on fire. Not even once.

As much as part of me would love to see these two roast in a chair, "eye for an eye" is not the answer. We need to be better as a society than these monsters, not stoop to their level.

I wish we could ensure they stayed locked up for life though. Being under 18 I think the most they can get is 25 years if they aren't paroled earlier for the murder. Hopefully the charges for sexual assault and forcible confinement tack on some extra time. Otherwise If I'm wrong and there's in fact a hell, I hope they burn in it.

How is eye for an eye not the answer..I doubt they're going to try them as adults because the kid is 16 and it is pretty much impossible to tell which one did more of the harm to the girl. If they go to jail, or more likely a juvenile hall they're going to get 3 squares a day, free classes, can work out all the time, etc. I don't condone killing somebody, but these guys do. Life imprisonment, no parole is nothing for taking the life of a 16 year old girl. Harsher punishments = less crime.

Dude, you're talking about letting this kids live relatively safe lives in prison where they will have things to better themselves readily available to them all the time. AFTER THEY JUST BRUTALLY KILLED SOMEONE. Doesn't seem right to me. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, yes. But sitting back and doing nothing gets you killed in the real world.

EDIT: Sorry about that last sentence. :(
