Star Wars: The Old Republic

The Situation

Recommended Posts

I must admit, I pre-ordered.

I have a good bunch of friend to play with, and we're going all in.

It's new, it has solid developer and publisher backing, not the usual elfdwarftrolls, combat looks fun. It's also one of only three MMO's coming out soonish that could be fun (Guild Wars 2, Planetside 2).

Big fan of KOTOR 1 but never played 2. Loved the bald black jedi who lived in the underworld on Taris. Tried very hard to find a used copy around town to play on 360, but no such luck. I wish they would just release it on demand or in Marketplace.

Favorite RPGs

1 Zelda :Orcarina of Time

2 FF VI

3 KOTOR

5 Mass Effect 2

6 Between Good and Evil

7 Xenogears

8 Chrono Trigger

9 FF VII

10 Zelda: Majora's Mask

11 Paper Mario

I'd add

into that list of most anticipated MMO's...

Tera Online has stunning graphics, with fast-paced, action packed gameplay...

Just hoping it doesn't get too repetitive, like Vindictus...

Anyways... Back to Star Wars...

I was a little skeptical when I saw the gameplay videos during E3 last year, but after this years... Looks like a game I should pick-up :P

Early access starts up to 5 days in advance of launch. So if you've preordered, make sure to link the preorder code up to your SWTOR.com account to get early access.

I preodered on the first day, so I should be able to play on the 15th, yay! Still don't know if I'm going to like this game that much, but I've waited so damn long now... My forum account there is from 2008 yeesh.

Got my access last night and played to level 8 or so (only because i played the beta 2 weeks ago so i sort of power levelled back to the point I got to). It's a pretty fun game and the voice acting makes it more worth while getting into quests and following the story.
