elvis15 Posted June 3, 2011 Share Posted June 3, 2011 TEES.ca is excited to announce its latest t-shirt art show called simply: “125.” Inspired by Vancouver turning 125 years old this spring, local artists were asked to create fresh, original designs to reflect and celebrate Lotusland as they see it. This exciting event will be taking place at Tees.ca’s location at 227 Abbott Street in Gastown, from 6pm – 10pm on Friday, June 3rd. There will be free admission, a cash bar with wine and beer, and free 1″ pins, courtesy of MEOMI. The artists to be featured are the Jupiter Project’s Luc Latulippe, Mia Hansen, and Mark “Atomos” Pilon, Vicki Wong & Michael Murphy, aka “MEOMI” (the creators of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Mascots), Kai Vermehr, Steffen Sauerteig, & Svend Smital, AKA “eBoy” (Berlin’s “Godfather of Pixel”), Chris Von Szombathy, published by Drawn & Quarterly, illustrator and comic artist Tony Cliff, illustrator and art director Garnet Syberg-Olsen, up-and-coming new local design duo “Hamburger Disco”, Jon Passmore RSVP on Facebook.
