I'm having trouble getting on to my MSN messenger actually and have no roster moves to make. I am still here though and always open for business.

I have been taking a player development/patience approach to building my team and have not made a trade since the beginning of the season. However, at this point I am pushing hard to make some changes to better my roster and would love if any team were to PM me with some possible trades.

Report:

Despite the fact that most of the league has shut down as the hockey world turns its attention to the All-Star Weekend festivities, sources have confirmed that the Montreal Canadiens management team have gotten together in Ottawa to determine the path the team will take for the remainder of the season. With the NHL Trade Deadline less then a month away, it is believed that the Habs brass have assembled to discuss whether or not to blow everything up or to stay the course. Montreal currently sits 10th in the East and are over 300 points out of the playoffs, and despite having two all-stars in Ottawa in Zdeno Chara and Pavel Datsyuk the rest of the team has failed to live up to expectations.

If rumors are to be believed, it looks like GM _arby_18 has received multiple quality offers for both of their all-stars, as contending teams apparently believe that either Chara or Datsyuk could put their team over the top. GM _arby_18 has refused to comment, but the fact that these meetings are taking place could mean that the Habs GM may in fact be listening to these offers at the very least.

Teams looking to make a move should contact _arby_18 via PM, or via his MSN account at rblight@hotmail.com, as it would be a good time to talk trade with the Habs while their "war room" is set up.

A little tip on posting your depth charts, as a lot of people seem to be confused...

Include injured players in their projected positions. Include minor league players, every player that is under contract in your organization. Your depth chart is not indicitive of your line combinations. Here's how I do mine.

Winnipeg Jets Depth Chart

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Jordan Eberle - Sidney Crosby - Teemu Selanne

Chris Higgins - Ryan Kesler - Blake Wheeler

Mason Raymond - Cody Hodgson - Chuck Kobasew

Tanner Glass - Maxim Lapierre - George Parros

Aaron Volpatti - Kaspars Daugavins - Brendan Gallagher

Michael Bornival - Maxim Macenauer - Andrew Kozek

Brenden Ranford - Michael Latta - Blake Coleman

Shea Weber - Christian Ehrhoff

Shane O'Brien - Tim Gleason

Jan Hejda - Aaron Rome

Andrew Alberts - Paul Postma

Nolan Baumgartner - Scott Harrington

Michael Paliotta - Taylor Fedun

Eric Gelinas

Martin Brodeur

Cory Schneider

Leland Irving

Black = Active Roster

Red = Injured Reserve (includes pending IR)

Grey = Minors

Hope that helps! Questions, comments, concerns welcome.

Congrats and welcome to the league from the Minnesota Wild!

btw, are the rumors true that you are being traded to the Canucks? haha

You know, I get that Perry is a pretty darn good player.

But do the Canucks really need him? Especially given what we'd have to give up to get him? If we're dealing a lot of quality players, I'd rather kick it up a notch and make a serious push for Shea Weber. Unlikely, but hey, if we're moving quality, aim high and address a real need. I don't think a top 6 forward is a need for the Canucks really.
