لني
I dont have a personal attachment to either actually. I'm just in shock that you just compared Osama Bin Laden to Bacon. Wow.
Offensive Threat
The Bacon brothers are just more proof that if you get into gangs and drugs you will end up dead or in jail eventually. There really was not ever much of a chance for a happy ending in this family story.

MegaNuck
No comparison really. Bin laden would have these guys pooping their pants. What is comparable is both used thuggery on innocents to gain power though fear.

dlvlw
There was fifth person reportedly shot in the attack who is believed to be James Riach, who is linked to the Independent Soldiers and he fled the scene on foot. The RCMP is searching for a fifth victim of Sunday’s gangland shooting in Kelowna who fled the scene on foot and has not yet been found, police said Monday. The missing man is believed to be James Riach, who is linked to the Independent Soldiers gang, The Province has learned. Kelowna RCMP on Monday confirmed 30-year-old Jonathan Bacon, a high profile gang member associated with the Red Scorpions, was killed in the afternoon shooting at the Delta Grand hotel that also injured Hells Angel member Larry Amero, one other man and two women. “We do believe that this was a targeted incident,” RCMP Const. Steve Holmes said. Police have made no arrests. A burnt-out Ford Explorer that matches the description of the suspects’ getaway vehicle was towed to the Kelowna RCMP detachment and will be examined by forensic technicians. Supt. Bill McKinnon declined to comment on the number of shooters or shots fired, saying investigations into gangs are complex and take a “tremendous” amount of resources. “We’re going to do whatever’s needed to find these individuals,” he said. “We are doing everything that we can and we’ll continue to do so.” The missing victim, whom police identified as male, fled the victims’ Porsche Cayenne SUV after the attack. It is not known if he was injured. “Obviously, part of this investigation will be looking at the hospitals and whether someone comes in with something that’s consistent with something like a shooting,” McKinnon said. “At this point, we have not yet located him.” Supt. Pat Fogerty of the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit said he wasn’t surprised to hear reports that members of the Hells Angels, Red Scorpions and Independent Soldiers were together in the victims’ SUV. “This province is made up of thereabouts 120 gangs and organized crime groups,” he told The Province. “Due to a variety of factors ... these groups have to align themselves up with people who are powerful enough to keep them in business,” he said. Fogerty warned it’s dangerous to read too much into the gang members being seen together. “They may not be part of the same group, but they’re not at odds with each other,” he said. “Sometimes they need each others’ expertise and they learn to work with each other.” Kelowna Police haven’t said whether Bacon was the intended target of the shooting. “At this point we have no way of knowing that,” McKinnon said. McKinnon also wouldn’t say whether Bacon, who was out on bail pending a trial on weapons charges this fall, was being monitored by police at the time of the attack. He did say police are cautious of retaliation between gangs. “Gangs and their associates have a callous disregard for the safety of others when disputes erupt, and it potentially places all of us at risk,” he said. “Gang violence can occur at any time anywhere, and while there can be a series of cause-based factors behind it, it can also be as simple as who is dating whom.” There was no evidence to suggest the victims fired at their attackers, he said. http://www.theprovince.com/news/Fifth+victim+loose+after+fatal+Kelowna+gang+shooting/5258372/story.html#ixzz1VAD7z3NQ
BM24
Like I said. I'm not asking to sympathize with this guy because I myself do not. I wont however, talk trash and calls him a scumbag or anything else like many of you guys have. I seriously doubt any of you guys would say this to his or any of these "gangster's" faces. And that is why it's stupid and cowardly to do this. Talking about the story (and backstory) like Wetcoaster is fine (In my opinion) but crossing the line is what some you "tough guys" write behind the security of noone knowing who you are. MegaNuck
Why would I say this to a gang members face, when they're already harming innocents by being in a gang and creating havoc? Would you say anything to a gang member? You seem tough enough to do so. Internet security? Whom I trying to act tough too? It's a goddamn forum, this is the last place you come to act tough on. I can't find anything wrong by calling a scumbag, a scumbag when he truly is one. Sorry, next time a gang member dies, I'll make sure to send flowers to his grave....in hell. This. MegaNuck
So in order to 'back up my talk' I have to go tell this to a gang member, kill someone, rob a store/house/bank? What's your street address then?

ronthecivil
Arguing with you guys is pointless. Regardless, enjoy being tough on the internet the rest of your lives and have your heads down walking through the crowds in real life as to not get noticed. Whatever makes you feel like a man I guess.

Buggernut
The myth is that gangsters are tough. I actual fact they rely entirely on their "brother" for their toughness.
