Mourinho made a big deal of being a supporter of youth, listing all those players he'd 'brought through' during his time at various clubs.

So far at United, he's brought in:

34 year old Ibra

27 year old Mkhi

23 year old Pogba

22 year old Bailly

And let go:

21 year old Paddy McNair

22 year old Nick Powell

23 year old Guillermo Varela

20 year old James Wilson

21 year old Adnan Januzaj

22 year old Tyler Blackett

19 year old Cameron Borthwick-Jackson

He's gutted United's existing youth structure, letting three really promising defenders go, and spent huge amounts of cash on expensive foreign replacements. And that's also forgetting his alienation of Marcus Rashford.

Same old Mourinho.

Okay I don't know where to start.

1. Januzaj, Varela, Borthwick Jackson are not let go as they are out on loan to get more playing time so they can be seasoned for Mourinho in the future

2. He doesn't really need those players since he has an expense of players to work with that he has notched from teams with the teams not realizing how good they really are. (Think Pogba, Bailly, Mkhitaryan)

Meanwhile City is scooping up every 19 year old 'wonderkid' in sight this transfer window.

Leroy Sane

Gabriel Jesus

Marlos Moreno

Oleksandr Zinchenko

among others

Also, Barca keeper Claudio Bravo in Manchester today to complete the transfer, sealing Joe Hart's fate. Hopefully we can move him out swiftly so we don't have a De Gea situation bogging us down all year.

I'm sure Juventus realize how good Pogba was. They did take United for an £89m ride after all.

The only player on that list who has the talent to play at that level is Januzaj. But he doesn't seem to have the right attitude.

CBJ looked like a top talent last season, better than Rojo and Young at LB. Blackett and McNair had their moments. Wilson has always been highly touted. Rashford is frozen out.

Which kids are left at United for Mourinho, the self-professed lover of youth, to bring through?

I keep hearing conflicting reports about Joe, some say he will stay and fight for a spot, some that he will leave. In a way it would be sad if he left as he's been with the club the longest,(and the only true pre take over player) but at the same time he hasn't been that great imo in a while. Either way we're going to be alright, the club won't let his bs. drag us down.

Glad to see you back.

Sorry but you have no idea what your are talking about. CBJ is stuck behind Shaw who is 20 and again having a very good start to the season.

Blacketts most memorable moment was getting sent off against Leicester two years ago, McNairs first two games for the club were very good but went downhill  since then. Wilson has regressed heavily since his debut, his loan to Brighton last year proved it.

Now let's talk about the youngsters that are still at club. Fosu-Mensah who was given a first team number this season has been heavily name dropped by Mou the entire preseason, unfortunately for him he has had a nagging ankle injury for the past month so hasn't been able to feature.

Axel Tuanzebe also given a first team number by Mou, I don't expect him to be in the 18 a lot, but I would be shocked if he wasn't the first defender to be called upon if there is a injury. Most likely will feature heavily in the league cup and the early games of the FA cup.

Those are the 2 that are on the verge of breaking into the 18. Others that could see some time this season are RoShaun Williams, Regan Poole, Callum Gribbin, Joe Riley.

The thing about our academy right now is that our most promising players are in the U-18s, these include Angel Gomes, Indy Boonen, Tahith Chong, Nishan Burkat, DJ Buffonage. So I'm not expecting Mou to bring through a bunch of youngsters early on in his United career, but you clearly have an agenda against him so it's kind of pointless arguing with you.
