Congrats on acquiring a top 6 center in exchange for an extremely underachieving center Bozak (7pts on the year), a 3rd/4th liner in Mitchell (1 goal on the year) a #6 defenseman with not much upside in Butler and some draft picks.

Excellent work. Teach me your ways lol.

Bozak will be good, i was only giving him 12 min a game on the 3rd/4th line because of my depth, he will get alot more points on the Leafs. Mitchell was a healthy scratch for me much of the year so I think he will give them a boost as well, he has good defense and Potential. I have been contacted by 4 teams this season for James Sheppard but i declined all offers. Also my 1st should be around 20th and Det should be 35th or so in a good draft year. Butler has good upside IMO 69 Passing + Defense 72 POT 50

I thought I was over paying to be honest...

Are you kidding me? Overpaying? Bozak has sucked the big one this season and his upside is a perhaps solid 3rd line defensive centre (if you're lucky with re-rates). How is a 40 rating "good" potential for a 24-year old and 9th overall pick in Mitchell? The only role he's suited for is 4th line grinder, if that. With regards to Butler, other than the marginal passing and defensive stats, the player is a fringe player on the pro team. A 47 potential isn't going to get him anywhere. The fact that Caboose may need to use re-rates for the players he acquired in a trade speaks volumes about the quality (or lack of it) in the return he got for Pavelski and Gunnarson. This trade is abyssmal for him.

I'm sorry to hear low opinions on this trade. I hold Ari in high regard as a GM, and he has grown to be my favourite GM to deal with, and I will continue to trust the trades and assistance he provides me.

When making a trade, the other GM is going to want the deal to swing in his favor as much as possible.

If you think the other GM is going to try and provide you with "assistance", maybe somebody that doesn't expect that from a teams GM you are dealing with should take your team....
