Personally, I'm not a fan at all; one of the great things about the college game is how much the regular season mattered. It's also far worse for the players, especially guys who are leaving for the NFL. Will these playoff games double as bowl games too? After Christmas bowl season was great. Now, these bowl games are not really so interesting.

That seems to be the main stumbling block that's being worked out, especially getting the Rose Bowl to play ball.

If it means more opportunities for 'Bama to lose, I'm all for it....

As a fan of a team in the Big 12, it pains me to say it, but I think it's probably deserved. Seems like every time you hear about a highly recruited high school player, he ends up in the SEC....kind of like MLB free agents and the Yankees / Dodgers.... And you'd be right to doubt it: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/31913980/sec-unanimously-votes-invite-texas-oklahoma-join-conference The 14 SEC presidents and chancellors voted unanimously on Thursday to extend invitations to Big 12 co-founders Oklahoma and Texas to join the league, leaving one final formality before the deal is done: OU and Texas have to officially accept the offer, which could happen as soon as Friday. Shocked A&M even agreed to it. Lots of dominoes will fall as a result of this.
Tre Mac
College ball is back. Gators won but man looking thin at QB and WR, D looks legit. Don't have high hopes this year but who knows.
King Heffy
What a performance from Jake Haener for Fresno state. Incredibly clutch while playing obviously badly hurt.
RUPERTKBD
Didn't get to see the Sooners beat the 'Huskers yesterday....but I did get to see their DB, DJ Graham make one of the best picks I've ever seen....

That was a hell of a game. I definitely don't have a copy if you'd like to see it in full. Definitely don't PM me.
Tre Mac
Just going to go ahead and turn the defensive sliders down to 0 for this game. Go Gators!
King Heffy
Lots of coach movement this year. Really wish they'd wait until after bowl games, but it's not going to stop unfortunately. Venables is a great hire for you guys, @RUPERTKBD

Venables is a great hire for you guys, @RUPERTKBD Thanks King, I'm expecting at least one more mediocre year, (by Sooners' standards anyway) as their starting QB is a Freshman and according to reports, they lost several recruits after Riley jumped ship. I suspect Venables may be able to change the recruits on the defensive side of the ball. Clemson wouldn't even have been bowl eligible without him this season. He'll be sorely missed, but it's a no-brainer to take that offer. Just make sure you guys have an assistant capable of keeping him on the sideline.

Tough to beat the same team twice, and would love to see the talking heads shut up about how much of a dynasty Alabama is.
