Kazmanian Devil
*VC*, I have changed up my lines. Alexander Steen has been named the new Winnipeg Jets captain. His father, Thomas, was one of the greatest players in the history of the original Jets incarnation, scoring 817 points in 950 career games, while also serving as captain. Alexander has earned this captaincy, not because of his father's legacy, but because of the work ethic and leadership he brings to the team. Andrew Ladd and Tobias Enstrom will serve as alternate captains.

BraveHart
St. Louis, MIS - Heading into Christmas break, the Blues are exactly where they didn't want to be - fighting for a playoff spot. Many in the locker room believe that there are a few reasons to blame, but newly-named captain Rick Nash believes it has mainly stemmed from inconsistency. "I think we've got plenty of guys who can score and produce points but the problem is putting up a solid effort every night. We have to start stringing wins in a row now and really get back to playing full 60 minutes of hockey every night," said Nash who was aquired through a trade with Columbus nearly a month ago, a city where he endured many years of no playoff action. "When I first heard I was heading to St. Louis I was excited cause they've got a good group of talented guys here and im glad to be part of a team that wants to win, I'm sure if we keep putting in effort and playing like we can then of course we could make the playoffs." Rick and his fellow teammates look to do just that as they try to shake off a nasty 5-0 blowout in Phoenix.
