WWE Star John Cena Files for Divorce

0510-john-cena-liz-huberdeau-2.jpg

WWE star John Cena has filed for divorce.

Cena filed the docs in Florida, claiming his marriage to Liz Huberdeau is "irretrievably broken." John and Liz were high school sweethearts but only married three years ago. They have no children.

Now here's the kicker -- Liz has already hired high-powered Miami attorney Raymond Rafool, the same attorney who repped Linda Hogan during her divorce ... and took Hulk to the cleaners.

But it won't be easy -- according to the docs, Liz signed a crippling pre-nup in 2009.

Liz' lawyer has already released a statement, claiming, "Although it is indeed unfortunate that John Cena decided to divorce his high school sweetheart Liz Cena; particularly, after they have come so far in their lives and in his career together, Liz will and really has no choice but to pursue all of her rights and entitlements."

The attorney adds, "Sadly, divorce is not the way Liz thought her perfect love story would end."

12:12 PM -- Liz' attorney tells us, Cena blindsided her with the divorce filing. They had been having issues -- and Cena even approached her recently with a pre-divorce financial settlement agreement -- but Liz refused to sign it, convinced the relationship would still work out.

FYI -- It's not uncommon in celeb divorces to bring up pre-divorce settlement agreements because they help simplify otherwise messy splits.

Could the crowd be anymore lame? :bored:

WWE really needs to pick and choose the places they go to better. Could you imagine Heyman coming back if this was anywhere near South Philly?

Hell Vancouver for that matter. I know it cost them a lot more to do a show here, but the product would benefit from it.

Not any more lame/boring than that promo. No matter how hard any Philly smarks would have cheered would have changed that fact. He didn't even look like he believed a word he was saying, and this is coming from a guy who thinks Heyman is one of the best promo guys in the game. It was just boring as hell.

- Everytime I find myself giving Cena some credit (his Extreme Rules performance), he pulls a promo like tonight. Am I supposed to want to shell out $39 to buy a PPV when your top star is making Ace Ventura jokes and acting like an immature 5 year old?

All those promos tonight were absolutely brutal. The whole show was just boring. Like Mikey said, and pretty much what I myself have been saying after every Raw, is that the show is a mess. They have a PPV next week, and they've managed to generate little to no hype for it. You look at the card, and you see a bunch of very talented in-ring performers on that list. Problem is that they haven't given us any reason to care at all about any of those matches.

Though at least with those stipulations announced at the end of the show, it almost guarantees a Laurinaitis win, so I'm happy about that. They'll still surely screw up the storyline like they always do, but I'd at least take that win for now.

WWE’s flagship Monday Night Raw show will be moving to 3-hours long every week permanently from July 23rd.

WWE superstar John Cena just broke the news on his Twitter feed;

John Cena just tweeted the following message regarding a major change to WWE’s flagship Monday night show:

“STARTING Monday Night July 23 @USA_NETWORK WILL BE ADDING A 3RD HOUR TO @WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW – PERMANENTLY. #3hourRaw”

WWE.com later confirmed the news.

The July 23rd Raw is the show’s 1,000th episode in history.

The move to go to three hours has been coming ever since WWE made the Raw episodes “Supershows” meaning that Raw and SmackDown superstars both appeared each week. This effectively ended the brand extension on TV and has meant an overload of talent and a struggle to find time for the mid card wrestlers such as Dolph Ziggler, Kane and The Miz.

The idea to move to three hours would be to give these guys more time on screen and to also allow the company more room to develop story lines. Though it will obviously probably just mean more of the same, just running an hour longer.

During its talent overload periods, WCW held three hour Nitro’s, effectively asking the writers and talent to produce a three hour pay-per-view every Monday night. The quality of Nitro’s went down and we fear WWE struggle to feature enough entertaining moments in two hours that three hours could just be torture.

It is believed Raw will start one hour earlier to accommodate the longer running time.

Brooke Hogan Signs With TNA

- Brooke Hogan has announced that she's signed with TNA. TMZ reports that Brooke will not wrestle for the company but instead will be the head of the Knockouts Division.

Dixie Carter commented, saying "Brooke is such a great talent who's really sharp and will make a great addition to the TNA family." TMZ reports that Brooke's duties will be to help the Knockouts develop their characters, work with them on backstage promos and consult on entrance music among other things.

:picard:

Yeah I'm sure the Knockouts will all be happy taking orders from her. I'm honestly impressed that this company has lasted this long despite not producing one bankable angle or creating one bankable star in nearly 8 years.
