nuck nit
In St. Louis. Florida-guys out of gas in Florida and better last night. Boston-energy level unbelievably high.Their fans after a certain thing. Our guys are mature enough to be patient and play their game. That team we played n Saturday played as good as any game they played in the finals. We have modelled this team after Detroit. We are open and in discussions with other teams. If you stick with it and play the best you can play you will come out with a win. We are looking for more balance. We signed fourth line needs. We are still looking for a player that can play and add things we don't have now. We are looking in every area. There's been a lot said about the officiating of last year.It is an evolution. Not talking about Marchand. Future of hip checks? Viable checks. Not going to go away.Discrepancy in player's sizes now vs the past. Hip on hip is a fair and viable hit. Boston media is remarkable.Very different landscape from when I was there. Skilled teams that can play hard physical hockey is better for all of us and is the future of the NHL,IMO. Not sure everything that happened in the Boston game is good for hockey. johngould21
Did he specifically say he wanted to rectify the 4th line? BMac seemed to say that.
Tm085
"We are still looking for a player that can play and add things we don't have now." looking for a guy who can fight/hit but also score a few goals?
Vigneault's Stache
He basically said they were looking for a 4th liner
malHOEtra
I think by the time the deadline is done, we will be very content with how the team looks. I think we will have enough depth that fans will complain that our 13th forward should be playing.
Iron_Gland
As hard as they are to find these days, but a Scottie Hartnell type would be perfect in our top 9. Obviously they don't grow on trees, but they're usually invaluable in playoff runs (Ryan Malone another)

The Sedin's 6th Sense
Wondering, whats the source? Do you mean 'Team' as in the TEAM 1040, or the Canucks team? If TEAM 1040, would be appreciated if a link could be posted for us to listen to the replay - The Team always puts them up. Thanks!

hockeyville88
Thanks so much for the summary! One thing that is evident is how closely we've been modeled after Detroit. I was watching the Wings play the other day and it's literally like watching the Canucks - minus the fact that our guys are better looking Hope we have the same success as the Wings have had. Maybe it'll be one of those things where if we win one Cup the flood gates will be open and we'll win a few more in close succession. End the drought in a big way! That's my hope anyways. Ballard's HipCheck
What about defense? We have 15 fourth liners(an exageration) We dont need fourth liners, maybe we need a 3rd or fourth liner with size and speed and skill, Or a All-star Defenseman(weber). When healthy, canucks have, weise, malholtra, mancari, volpatti, bitz, duco, archibald, oreskovich, ebbet for fourth line duties. Defense, watching Bieksa make stupid/lazy plays against florida all night. He is not a #1 D man, maybe a #2, but not a #1. Weber, Hamhuis Bieksa, Edler Ballard Salo would make up for everyones inconsistancies
