Bring Back Bitz

I really like Burrs on the 3rd with Hansen and Pahlsson! We are back to black with Amex, Burrs makes the 3rd a solid checking line AND a huge scoring threat and the 4th line has enough depth that we can change it up to fit the opposing team. Personally, I want a hitting line of Kass, Lappy, Duco.

This leaves us with the first.... Why is Mayray getting a free ride? Send him to the Wolves and make him earn a spot. This might recharge his batteries or the carrot he needs, whatever.

In my previous post, I called Burrs on the 3rd with Hansen and Pahlsson, glad AV listened to me on that one, but why did he stop there? Let's put Bitz back up with the Sedins.

At least Bitz will protect them and stand up for the twins. They looked pretty good with a short glimpse earlier and I think this line can't be overlooked by the opponents. With this line getting the attention from the top shutdown lines, this leaves the Amex and 3rd line with the advantage.

I hope the twins are out of their funk now...but if they still need time, our 2nd and 3rd should be able to carry the load until they're ready.

Dank, Hank, Bitz (Worth another look)

Higgy, Kes, Booth (Upgraded to black)

Hansen, Pahlsson, Burrs (AV's dream checking line with the pre-deadline scoring threat - Platinum)

Duco, Lappy, Kass (Crunch...)

To be honest, we have so many good options for the 4th.... Duco, Zotto, Bitz, Weise, Ebbett & Reinprecht. I understand the waivers with Reinprecht, but does it effect the rest of these guys too?

There are better methods to motivate Mayray or help him get out of his funk.... why is he getting so much time to hone his skills at the expense of guys who deserve it?

Sorry... "upgrade to black"... "platinum"..."crunch"... let it go. Ok maybe some of your ideas for lines have some merit but drop the 80's "hair band" anthem that goes along with it. The point is we got depth... and depth that is grinding and heavy hitting. We will see who rises up for the challenge come playoff time. We have a lot of options. Bring on the playoffs already!

I think we will see Bitz and Duco on the team during the playoffs, if not always on the roster for every game. From what I saw, Bitz earned at least a 4th line spot during his call-up, so I'm hoping he was sent down mainly for conditioning purposes. Burrows does look really good on the 3rd line, so it would be great if some combination of Kassian and Bitz can take his place at least some of the time on the 1st line. We really do have insane forward depth considering that Reinprecht and Ebbett will also be in the picture. My only concern is that it may play into AV's tendency to juggle lines a bit too much, and that we may not get out of experiment mode and into a consolidated lineup soon enough. But we really do have the forwards to play just about any kind of game, which puts us in a much stronger position than we were in a year ago.

Sadly, I don't think Raymond is going to be scratched either, but we could see him on the 3rd line with Hansen, Burrows and/or Kassian doing spot duty or more on the 1st. Any of those options is an improvement, although I still like Burrows on the 3rd. The main thing is that we won't have to see people like Desbiens or Glass in the lineup this time around. With or without Bitz, our 4th line is going to be a lot better this year.

From where I sit; Bitz easily played better than Kassian has so far. I would sit whomever made sense to make room for Bitz ATM.

And Kassian first, Raymond second is whom I would sit to make space for him.

Raymond is not getting sent down, someone would claim him. Bitz and Duco both have two way contracts and can be called up, but I seriously doubt Bitz will ever get another shot with the Sedins, he's just not good enough.

I don't care how they deal with him but May Ray just has to go (healthy scratch?); also I think Burr on the 3rd line should work well, as

Twins - Bitz/ Kass (interchange in terms of who's playing well where-- both have done alright in short spurts with the Twins)

Higgins - Kes - Booth

Burrows - Pahl - Hansen

Manny - Max - Kassian/ Bitz/ Weise

makes for some pretty good depth in scoring and checking (plus the Twins get their size with some skill-- they don't need a legit PF, they can turn a big guy with some skill into an acceptable PF)

Why can't the Sedins just be triplets.. We can only dream

I hate it so much that Bitz is not in the lineup regularly.

If we end up getting rough up or pushed around in the playoff and lose the game or a series, I think the team deserves it!

How can you possibly play Raymond ahead of a guy like Bitz on the 4th line? We do not need softie on our 4th line, we need guys like Bitz, Duco etc!
