NightHawkSniper
That team would fall apart as soon as their ELC's are done.
bossram
My Custom Lineup FORWARDS Bobby Ryan ($5.100m) / Claude Giroux ($3.750m) / Corey Perry ($5.325m) Valtteri Filppula ($3.000m) / Logan Couture ($2.875m) / Dustin Brown ($3.175m) Chris Higgins ($1.900m) / Ryan Kesler ($5.000m) / Blake Wheeler ($2.550m) Alexandre Burrows ($2.000m) / Jamie Benn ($0.822m) / Jannik Hansen ($1.350m) DEFENSEMEN Alexander Edler ($3.250m) / Kristopher Letang ($3.500m) Duncan Keith ($5.538m) / Alex Pietrangelo ($3.167m) Ryan Suter ($3.500m) / Zach Bogosian ($2.500m) GOALTENDERS Jonathan Quick ($1.800m) Cory Schneider ($0.900m) BUYOUTS Mike Commodore ($1.542m) ------ CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (these totals are compiled without the bonus cushion) SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $62,543,461; BONUSES: $2,350,000 CAP SPACE (20-man roster): $1,756,539 Not bad. I limited myself to only two ELCs as well (Pietrangelo and Benn) and there's still actually over 3 million left in cap space for the extras. (Commodore's buyout is in there because I used Columbus as the template.)
Pears
For me I would prefer my top line to have a power forward, playmaker and a sniper. My 2nd line would have a sniper, two-way forward, and a playmaker. My bottom six would consist of grinders and two-way forwards. For my top D pairing I would want a two-way defender and a offensive defenseman. My second pairing would have an offensive defenseman and a defensive defenseman. Then tough guys or rookies for my bottom pairing: FORWARDS Rick Nash ($7.800m) / Evgeni Malkin ($8.700m) / Taylor Hall ($3.750m) Corey Perry ($5.325m) / Ryan Kesler ($5.000m) / Claude Giroux ($3.750m) Raffi Torres ($1.750m) / Kyle Turris ($1.400m) / Alexandre Burrows ($2.000m) Cal Clutterbuck ($1.400m) / Maxim Lapierre ($1.000m) / Jannik Hansen ($1.350m) DEFENSEMEN Ryan Suter ($3.500m) / Alexander Edler ($3.250m) Erik Karlsson ($1.300m) / Kristopher Letang ($3.500m) Cody Franson ($0.700m) / Ryan McDonagh ($1.300m) GOALTENDERS Marc-Andre Fleury ($5.000m) Cory Schneider ($0.900m) ------ CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (these totals are compiled without the bonus cushion) SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $62,675,000; BONUSES: $3,275,000 CAP SPACE (20-man roster): $1,625,

Duodenum
Try putting guys like Helm and Thornton on the 4th line so that you won't have multiple guys from the 4th line and 3rd D pairing asking for trades.
Duodenum
Giroux (3.75) - Datsyuk (6.7) - Eriksson (4.25) St. Louis (5.625)- Stamkos (7.5) - Brown (3.175) Marchand (2.5) - Staal (4.0) - Simmonds (1.75) Greening (0.817) - Helm (0.912) - Thornton (0.8125) Letang (3.5)- Girardi (3.325) Kronwall (3.0) - Burns (3.55) Klesla (2.975) - Corvo (2.25) Howard (2.25) MacDonald (0.55) 1.1 million left for cap space/carrying extra player Could change Corvo for Engelland if the team needs some extra toughness. Could also use Neal/Malkin in place of St.Louis/Stamkos.
