lateralus Posted March 20, 2012 Share Posted March 20, 2012 General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with goaltender Tyler Bunz on a three-year entry level contract. Bunz, 20, is currently playing with the Medicine Hat Tigers in the Western Hockey League (WHL) and has finished his fourth full season appearing in 61 games this year with a 39-17-5 record, 2.57 GAA and .921 save percentage. He also recorded three shutouts. The 6’1”, 198-pound St. Albert, AB native has played in 197 regular season games for the Tigers with a 115-55-19 record, 2.72 GAA, .911 save percentage and eight shutouts. He was named to the WHL Second All-Star Team in 2010-11. Bunz was also invited to the 2012 World Junior Championship selection camp this year. Bunz was selected by Edmonton in the 5th round, 121st overall, in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
